And we won on a Friday night.
First time since 2014, with a hell of a lot of failures in between. I'll take that, thank you!

Murphy awesome. Was critical last week. Played exactly what was required tonight.
His most complete game for some time. Very happy with his performance. Most of the mids had good contributions.

Can Harry go off and learn how to kick for goal.
His preparation is poor and reeks of laziness or cockyness.
I have zero confidence when he is lining up, I'd rather Casboult kicking and that's saying something.
And we found out he has no right foot.
Fev was 120% invested in concentration at the goal whereas Harry, mmmmm???
Wheres Fev as a specialist coach?
Fev learnt the hard way. he was very ordinary for the first couple of seasons. But when he got it right, he really got it right. The concentration and the confidence were there. H needs a good dose of both and the same sort of work that has made Casboult a much more reliable kick. And soon, because our days at the bottom appear to be numbered.

Eddie is #1 all time in goal assists.

Whether he kicks them or not, he brings teammates into the game. We are playing as unselfish a brand of football as i've seen from this club for the past 20 years. Don't change it.

True, but I'd still liked us to have converted more of those chances though.
Reality always wins in the end.

Watching the fourth quarter now ha reminded me of a few positives - the umpiring! They let the game go, a lot of non decisions were definitely HTB in previous games, and over umpiring ruins any game, no matter which way it goes.

So well done umpires!

Also thought Plow was so steady, Willo went up a notch, Fish is very talented, Walsh is so so solid, he’s a gun.

Wish Samo did more - feel like he’s being under-utilised?

Also curious as to what Teague was telling Fish off about at 3/4 time...

Just on SPS, he's copping a lot of flack lately. Double so in regards to his kicking.

As you may remember, he has his shoulder strapped and he got a whack on it in a tackle which hurt him badly.

I'm pretty sure he would've had a jab in it....and maybe has been doing so for a while. In any event, his shoulder is clearly giving him issues.

Given it was his right should and he is a right footer, perhaps its hampering his ability to drop the ball as well as he'd like and this is have an effect on his kicking.

If he is injured he shouldnt be playing, was poor early vs GC turning the ball over and didnt contest well in the middle of the ground which could be that shoulder but got better later in the game.
I'd like to see him rested and freshened up for a couple of weeks and then back into the team and played on a wing....

In the current era, where goals are alot more scarce, players must be able to kick on their wrong side. Just watching the last qtr. Harry missed out on a soda as he had no right foot. Turned back on left and the chance was lost.

Kicking on your wrong foot was an essential back in the day.

It was interesting to see Murphy giving the players a bit of a rev up before the game.  Clearly he is more respected by his teammates than by some supporters - and I use that term advisedly.

Ahh the old I'm a better supporter than you never gets old.

We were almost bullies last night - certainly the stronger team.  GC were very young and our experience actually showed.   We controlled the ball most of the night.

We side stepped/ wrong footed them a lot.

Maybe we are starting to earn some trust as we beat a side as we should have.   Glad we didn't turn it into a close game.

We won't have the same luxuries next week.   Hope we bring ntensity run and our goal kicking boots next week.

It was a good win but we should be able bury poor opposition.  Goal kicking continues to be a problem and we should have had >10 goals on the scoreboard.

Yes, you don't get gifted 280 games. You get that because you can play.

I was just happy not to have a heart attack for a change....lol.

And super glad we didn't get Brandon Ellis.

Redefines the term 'fringe' player.
