Yesterday it would have been an F, I was so angry. But I cannot and do not want to ignore the really good things we did. In the end, we were beaten by about a second.

Votes:
[2]   Dale Thomas
[2]   Patrick Cripps
[2]   Matthew Kreuzer
[2]   Zac Fisher
[1]   Marc Murphy
[1]   Sam Petrevski-Seton
[1]   Ed Curnow
[1]   Jacob Weitering
[0.5]   Liam Jones
[0.5]   Lachie Plowman
[0.5]   Sam Walsh
[0.5]   Harry McKay
[0.5]   Nick Newman
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni

Explanations:
Votes were hard because we were very even, both when we were on top and when we were behind. A lot of players did something, but very few managed to keep it going for 4 quarters.
[2]   Dale Thomas:   Daisy played probably more consistently than anyone else. His was a very smart game.
[2]   Patrick Cripps:   Cripps was controlled for much of the game but still managed to get close to 30 possessions and almost win us the game in the last few minutes. But his kicking hurt, as it was ordinary.
[2]   Matthew Kreuzer:   Brilliant early, he was the most influential man on the ground in the first half, but he tired and spent most of the last quarter off the ground. His not being able to keep up was the difference between winning and losing. Hopefully he can get fitter soon.
[2]   Zac Fisher:   Zac was excellent at the clearances and really hurt the Hawks.
[1]   Marc Murphy:   Solid, but not spectacular. Being on the wing left him out of the play for considerable periods.
[1]   Sam Petrevski-Seton:   Brilliant in the first half with his ability to get his hand in and intercept the ball. Quiet after half time.
[1]   Ed Curnow:   Solid and kept O’Meara quiet – too late.
[1]   Jacob Weitering:   Really solid in defence and kept his opponent totally under control.
[0.5]   Liam Jones:   Gave Roughead a bath, especially in the first half.
[0.5]   Lachie Plowman:   Really solid in defence and kept Breust very quiet.
[0.5]   Sam Walsh:   Not as spectacular as he has been but ran hard and did well.
[0.5]   Harry McKay:   Not as good as last week, but solid and dangerous all day.
[0.5]   Nick Newman:   Newman was good, and we really missed him when he went off.
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni:   Totally brilliant early but dropped out of the game totally.

Honourable Mentions:
David Cuningham:   Brilliant early but ran out of gas.
Caleb Marchbank:   Solid.
Paddy Dow:   Brilliant early, especially in the middle. However, he dropped out of the game as well.
Levi Casboult:   Very dangerous early but struggled when we no longer moved the ball well. Did a surprisingly good job in the ruck in the last half of the last quarter.
