Off the top of my head i think its because we've played st kilda a few times on monday nights.
Its not about DAYS, its about the opponent. Fridays are a harder opponent than Mondays. Thats the way the AFL run things for ratings

EDIT: We've played St. Kilda 5 times from our last 6 monday night games. For a 3-2 record.
We also beat Geelong, Brisbane and Richmond for the other 3 games.

And now the game comes closer. A heart-stopping win and we move on to Darwin.
Who, if anyone do we get back? Pittonet would be handy, as Witts has played well against us since he moved up North,
For that matter, Jack martin would also be nice.

The run home:

Suns   (Darwin, 21 August, Friday)

Pies   (Gabba, 30 August, Sunday)

Giants    (Metricon, 3 Sept., Thursday)

Swans   (Metricon, 8 Sept., Tuesday)

Crows   (Metricon, 13 Sept., Sunday)

Lions   (tbc, 19 Sept., Saturday)

5 out of 6 to make finals? 4 unlikely to make it.
Finals, then 4 in a row!

Martin would love it up there. TDK can take on Witts but there's no replacement for the class of Martin, especially in those conditions.

Essentially, it's in our own hands. In 2016 we have a real "awful" win against Freo, and it was horrible, but it started a run of 6 wins from 7 against some good sides too. Let's hope history repeats.

6 games left and some definitely winnable ones.
Brisbane (in brisbane no doubt) will be the toughest one by far.

the rest are certainly winnable.

Giants will be tough if they have their full crew in ie Greene, Davis.....all the teams pushing for finals will be extra keen.
Knowing us we will lose to the Crows and beat Brisbane...

We needed that 1 goal loss against Melbourne to go our way. I suspect they'll keep us out.

We were so far the better team that day it was a ridiculous loss really.

Agreed, that and the Port loss will haunt us.

Suns are playing tonight.

The extra 2 days rest must be worth a few goals?

Hopefully, but I suppose the travel offsets a lot of the advantage.

The Suns will arrive and return without much disruption, but I think we are moving from Perth to Brisbane via Darwin.

We wont beat the Suns.  Call it a hunch.  Maybe even Jack Martin compensation...

Well if we are to we will have to play better than we did v Freo.
Reality always wins in the end.
