Don't like Hamiliton but no doubt in the right car he is still one of the best.
Saw a clip of him in an interview talking about how there shouldn't be any large gaps of wealth and how there shouldn't be billionaires and how many should be shared around. Noble ideal Lewis but the hypocrisy of it all is Lewis was wearing Paket Phillipe watch with 1.5M. His new GF is worth over 1.5B and he is worth a lazy 500M.
Have to love the likes of these elites making statements completely at odds with their very life.
Agree but he does give a lot to charities and foundations. He's wealthy by he is a good good egg.
When you earn as much as they do, giving money to charity must always be viewed through the suits for tax reasons Lense.
FYI, Pitto gives away 1.7 free kicks a game. Grundy gives away 2.9 free kicks a game.
Maybe he doesn't know the rules either?
Witts gives away 1.9 free kicks a game. McAndrew gives away 1.8 free kicks a game Luke Jackson gives away 1.7 free kicks a game. TDK gives away 2.0 free kicks a game.
Perhaps its the rules that are the problem.
would love to know how many of those are centre square frees (for both pitto and the others). maybe its just because we watch him all the time, but pitto does seem to give away a lot of those
i support pitto, but he isnt as dynamic as some of the other rucks in the comp (although he started the year kicking goals), and if he isnt giving is first use in the middle (including giving away frees), then he becomes even less useful
It would definitely show a bias. I.e. pittonet is penalised once per match for crossing the line in ruck contests over the course of 2026. Most of that time, his opponent is running and jumping over him and also crossing the line but it seems that if you are off the ground, in the air, this doesn’t matter.
Ultimately the free kick thing is irrelevant as most of the ones he is giving away aren't really there to start with.
When you look at free kicks rather than worry about how many are given away, it needs to be viewed solely about how a player plays over the course of a match. Some players are on the edge more and give more frees away. Some teams play like this as a rule.
The number of frees simply represent the number of times you got penalised, and not the number of times you infringed or did something wrong as you wont be penalised every time, the umps tend to put the whistle away.
I like his aggression but, instead of the late (unnecessary) bump that seems to surface from time to time, he needs to sell those actions as an attempt to smother or adversely effect the kick.
You almost wanna keep them in just to keep the opposition honest.
Its a bit like Robbo back in the day. You never know when he's going to bury someone. Sometimes it will give away a free, other times the perceived pressure results in a turnover.
Keep them guessing. Can't always be 'nice'.
Yep was going to say this. You need a wild streak with controlled aggression.
I have a theory. During the week in one of his posts Kruddler set out in detail that if we did not finish in the bottom five then the new AFL drafting rules would compromise our draft picks.
Evidently our playing group read the post, were impressed by its content, and began putting it in to practice tonight
Hahaha. you saying we can't even tank properly.....lol.
Mitch McGovern has been in very good form but he had a shocker on Friday. He is credited with only three effective disposals ... but he had five score involvements. How does that work? Are behinds counted as ineffective disposals?
Scott Camporeale was indeed one of the best mids, as he had the tank to run hard all day and enough pace to break the lines. Then, with his excellent kicking, he drove the ball a long way forward, often to advantage. It was disappointing when neither of the twins seemed to have his huge tank or the potentiality of his kicking. Both of the boys can run well, but just don't have that extra pace, especially late in games. However, I don't think they can't improve their pace, both of them. Patrick Cripps, early in his career, did a lot of work with some running coaches to develop his running. He will never be quick, but he made the most of what he had. He worked on his explosiveness. I would like to see the twins take the same path, and develop that burst. It would do both of them the world of good and might even give them enough time to get their kicks right.
We need a young Scott in the side more than we do a young Ben or a young Lucas.
Cerra is the one. Don't use his last two seasons as much, his hammys have caused him a lot of grief but in 2023 he was massive until he broke down.
I saw that contest. It was him vs Jeremy Cameron and I reckon the other one was another tall, and some how he halved it by just throwing his body in there.
Was match winning stuff and we were up at thr time i think with about 5 mins left.
I think we are seeing what jagga emerging does. At half time the cats were worried about jagga after he had a monster quarter and decided to put time into him instead of walsh and cripps and then cripps got room to go beast mode.
Up until the last few weeks jagga has been going well but not able to sustain 4 quarters and now thats changing we are in good stead.
Frankie Evans played a game for the ages too. Hes too good not to get another gig next year.
