So glad we missed out on getting him.  Even happier it was the scum

Biggest take away from the game, watching someone run around in the number 6 that wasn't Simmo was weird.

Who played on Waterman?

Watched the replay and it seems Big H is still not hungry enough.
Doesn't demand the ball, goes half hearted to many contests, he's a big man but doesn't crash and bash for the mark and passes off when in kicking distance. If he wants to be the dominant forward he should have a chat to Fev.
He looks like he means business but still a bit too casual for my liking.
I don't want him to be one of those if only players.
2024... Moir of the same to come

Fair enough, maybe JW was resting on his laurels and it was junk time stuff..

we were barely in 1st gear come Q4. Under instruction.

Waterman goes OK all the same. Good pedigree. Hard at it.
Finals, then 4 in a row!

Lol....because it was Weitering, we let it slide.

If the answer was plowman....outbcome the pitchforks! Even though plow has been consistently in the top 10 (5?) In the b+f too.

This is a pre-season game, not only do most players not take it at 100%, they are told by coaches not to take it at 100%!

You don't protect your treasures by exposing them to the filth!

If you are quoted in an article saying you are going to take more shots at goal and not pass them off in gettable range....then that's what you should do.

He was 40 out on 45 degree angle and passed it off.

Those are the ones you kick.

If you can't practice those shots in a practice match, then why do we play them?

Practise matches have a purpose, the tackling you get it at another level, the sporadic pressure exceeds match-sim. But primarily you play practise matches to develop systems of cohesion against an unknown opponent, something that is impossible to replicate in match-sim because inside your own club everybody knows what is about to happen.

It may well be the case one of the things we wanted to test was tricks for creating space inside F50. But otherwise, rewarding team-mates for doing the right thing is a big plus, because the opposite is burning them and that always comes back to bite you!

What you say has some merit.

However, if that's our focus teague should get the sack.

We have one of the best young forward talents in the league, the ONLY thing holding him back is between his ears and he's made it a focus in the off-season.

Nothing boasts confidence like kicking a few goals and getting a win.

He will be our lone key forward this year with the injuries we have and he needs belief. Belief in himself and the system.

We will win more games this year with a confident, fit and firing Harry then we will by making space inside 50

I think I understand your point and can see how it would appear that way. Some blokes just seem phlegmatic the way they move... Rhys-Jones was a classic example, as was my Avatar, Brent Crosswell. I think H has a little of that look. He's also 7 metres tall which can make you look a little 'lumberish' when after the aggot or opponent. And it was a practice match. Zachery F. is probably the opposite, no matter what he does he seems manic.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

Reckon it will be refined as time goes on.  We NEED forward options aplenty.  As you said Baggers, it was a hitout.  Imagine Saad will cause some chaos as well.
