Why do you insist on deflecting criticism of the senile narcissist in the White House with ill-considered complaints about Australian governments?
We have a thread devoted to the lunacy of the convicted felon and I started this thread to give you a platform to air what you believe are problems with our State and Commonwealth governments.
If you want to defend the indefensible, post in the Taco thread. If you want to bleat about Australian politicians, do it here.
Nice try at deflecting.
How people accept this absolute bloody disgrace corrupt bunch of criminals that just happens to be in charge of running our state - running it into the ground astounds me.
And my comparsion to US politics and the obsession with everything that happens on the other side of the world is very relevant and if comparing that to the corrupt government we have here just happens to trigger you well so be it.
Im fking triggered at the corrupt spending of 15 BILLION dollars of OUR money.
15 billion in case you didnt know is 15 thousand MILLION and yet not one comment about your thoughts on this situation.
Sorry im a fence sitter. My range is, wheels fall off as low as 14th. Things go swimmingly premiership from 2nd to 4th. Things go average, and results not going our way, probably around 8th.
I think if the wheels do fall off the cellar is the limit. I also think 8th should have every member reaching for their fly… 😎
I actually think that's a better idea. Give him the two years now. And emphasise the tranistional nature of this year....because I think even the most optimistic of us don't see us going deep into the finals. Improving yes, but not dramtically.
If we do go really low on the ladder that extra year becomes a much harder sell at the end of the year.
The two problems I see are - we're getting some really positive messages out of the club, rather than dampening expectaions they're raising them. - have we already sounded someone out for 2027 and are keeping our powder dry to see what eventuates. (the club isn't seen to be sacking a coach prior to contract end, but has someone lined up once Voss's contract finishes.)
He is contracted for 2026 already, i am suggesting adding 2027 now.
Are you suggesting adding in 2028 also??
Unless they think we can do well in our first 4-8 games and want to make an announcement then…? Be smarter to do it now.
I can sorta understand but don’t agree with the decision to allow Voss to coach into 26 but I think tactically they’ve missed the chance to make this 12 month extension. Maybe if Davies was on board earlier it may have happened this way Krudds.
@Lods So we judge Voss on a year with a fractured group and injuries and then a year without the fractured individuals (hopefully they’re all gone…) and lesser credentialed replacements ? Seems like old Carlton to me…
Best way to look at that is who will be worse than us?
From the bottom 3 last year... Both Tigers and North are predicted to rise. Eagles, less so.
Who will drop?
Melbourne seem to be on the slide as much as us. Maybe Essendon, but i'm sure they think they are top 4.
Definitely possible. More possible than most will admit.
Missing finals will be the end of Vossy.
You might be right but it’s back to the ol merry go round isn’t it ? Given the instability is it “right” to judge Voss on finals…? I’d say not but I’m not loud and vocal.
While Australia is bucking the trend of falling interest rates in major nations and raising rates Donald Trump has launched "Trump Accounts". What is it and how does it work?..glad you asked...
Every newborn in the USA will receive US$1,000 from the government, deposited into an investment account, with parents acting as custodians until age 18 (all children under 18 can still establish accounts) The money is mandated to be invested in US equity ETFs or index funds. Families, employers and charities can contribute up to US$5,000 per year Accounts are locked until age 18, at which point funds can be used to buy a home, pay for education, or continue saving for retirement. Access to the money may be linked to financial literacy requirements.
Now Im not normally a fan of anything Trump says or does but this isnt a bad idea imo. Taking into account inflation and to make the amount of money significant it will require extra contributions every year but it does have merit in encouraging saving and learning about investments and might get a proportion of the population interested enough to participate in a meaningful manner.
I agree with you EB but fark it’s going to mess with the heads of the US populace… sOcIaLiSm !! cOmUnIsm !! 😱😱 I need to go clutch my pearls…
I read somewhere that the red Ozito tools in Bunnings are actually manufactured by Milwaukee. I am only a very spasmodic DIYer these days but I have owned a red Ozito drill for many years and it has been very good.
It’s very much a use by use situation. I use my AEG battery drill to mix 5kg batches of grout/adhesive, which it performs effortlessly. Pre my AEG I installed a flat pack kitchen for my sister using an ozito battery drill/driver, it worked flawlessly, if all you were doing was driving screws it was unbeatable for its price. Trying to mix that 5kg of grout however… total fail !
You mean I can’t take the engine out of my land cruiser and put it into a commodore ? Bummer.
The average motorist does about 40km a day in Oz, ev have plenty of range for most, esp when after 8-10 years they will still retain 70% SOC. No shortage of ev that have clocked up 300/400 and 500kms+ and are still rolling along fine.
You make it sound like ice vehicles are produced with no emissions from manufacture, zero pollution and running costs and last forever without breaking down and don’t ever run out of dinosaur juice, perpetual motion !
There’s still plenty of improvements to be made to batteries.
LP, what do you mean about people being locked into ev batteries ?
With power tools having removable batteries all being proprietary fits, you’re correct that once you go AEG you are locked in.
Ev do not currently have exchangeable batteries, with the exception of some heavy trucks and buses. Early on there were 2 types of charging connectors but I believe that is well and truly consolidating, so I’m really not sure what you’re saying ?
Thry, 2.5ah is like an electric toothbrush for a power tool battery, I wouldn’t bother using anything less than than 5ah, I also have 9ah, that’s AEG register online and it’s 3+3 warrantee. I’m not aware of the quality being different between stores… possibly “exclusive” models perhaps ? Milwaukee, AEG and Ryobi are all owned by the same company apparently. I’m told the tech starts in the Milwaukee brand and gets handed down to AEG then Ryobi, I can’t verify that. I did have an AEG 125mm grinder that the switch had crapped out so I put it in for repair (out of warrantee) quote was $200 ! $230 later and a new grinder…
Lp, the only fact you managed to spew forth is that Tesla is going subscription for FSD, everything else is your own poorly formed opinion. Ev batteries will outlast the vehicles, ie 20-30yrs before being repurposed, it’s what the science shows it’s what real world charging data shows. Go and educate yourself ffs.
Did I trigger something, are you a disgruntled Tesla investor? Not to worry SpaceX will list soon.
Firstly, I think you've confused contemptuous AI driven marketing for science, and I could debate it here but it's the wrong thread, I was more discussing the corporate tactics and the inevitable. But it is cute that you think the concept of subscriptions will stop with FSD, stay optimistic!
btw., If I recall correctly, when previously discussing the very long term carbon debt (NIMBY carbon it seems) that comes with offloading a perfectly good ICE for a brand new EV, those so inclined to argue the EV position claimed that the EVs would functionally outlast the batteries many times over, I think some claimed at least 1 million kilometers, and as such the vehicles carbon deficit was irrelevant to battery longevity. Now we read your post claiming that the batteries will outlast the car!
Doubling down on dribble LP ? Very unusual of you… 🙄
