Well, last week's team had no relationship to what actually went out onto the ground. If this week's team is actually something like it has been selected, then they should give Werribee a much better run for their money than we did last time. Last time it was a disaster of Biblical proportions and probably the worst effort from the Baby Blues for the year.
Ironic that we lost to half of North last week, to play the other half this week.

A Slight error, for those going to the game today. It is not a Preston, it is at Carlton. Please do not go to the wrong ground!!  ::) >:D

Looking forward to heading to PP for this one... especially to see our star new forward (Watto) >:D

Seriously though, could be without Everitt and Menzel and Robbo for our next game so a few blokes need to stake a claim today - Armfield? Cripps? Buckley? Cachia? Garlett? Johnson?

W are getting a very poor run on the TV again this year.

HALF TIME: Blues 5.6.36, Tigers 6.8.44.

DISPOSALS: Cripps 17, Lucas 11, Bransgrove 11, Cattapan 10, Warnock 10.

'Warnock and Cripps the leading clearance winners with 5 apiece. Warnock also has 22 hitouts along with 10 disposals.' When I read these comments I could barely believe it.

GOALS: Johnson 2, Lucas, Reynolds, Bransgrove

Blues 6.7.43, Tigers 6.8.44. Cripps' set shot is narrowly offline for just the one point. Goal to Wilson. Getting closer.

Which is surprising, as I'd imagine that Visy would be a good place to broadcast from

He is a spud, at VFL level given his massive height advantage he would need two dozen contested marks just to break even with Wood! ;)

GOALS: Johnson 2, Lucas, Reynolds, Bransgrove, Wilson, Byrne, Anthony

Apparently Watson spent some time at both ends and didn't set the world on fire. Pity, but noting that our main mids didn't get much ball, the forward delivery couldn't have been too good.

What an dreadful last quarter. Our blokes lacked everything in the last stanza, in a game that was there for the taking. Werribee players seem to want it a whole lot more than our blokes in that last qtr. Horrible.

Thank good I had good company at the game and we were able to find the funny side of some of the dreadful errors/turnover - Ye Rat O' the River and I seemed to be on the same page re some of our observations of the game and certain players.

Watson. Yes, is a better forward than a defender but that is not praise!! ...(space here for RR comment!!)...

On a positive note... Wilson and Bransgrove were both good and looked like they gave a cr@p. No. 9 (forget who he is ... RR knows who he is...) was also good and knew how to get to where the ball was!

Wilkinson flashed in and out of the game and had a very good 3rd qtr.

Reckon the only Blues listed player who would deserve a call-up on today's effort would be Warnock - worked hard and probably won against a very good opponent (no idea who he is ...not in the program... No. 1 for Werribee).

Yep, Cripps got a bit and will no doubt benefit from the run but boy he turned the ball over on a few occasions - two of those howlers resulted in goals to Werribee. Rusty.

Holman - disappointing. Off the pace for most of the game.

McInnes - shadow of his former self. Barely serviceable.

Reynolds - started well. Marked well and kicked a good goal... but faded.

Garlett - the long winded summary would be - ordinary!

Johnson - did some good things and worked hard but not as dominant as you would hope from a bloke wanting to get back into the firsts.

Armfield - busy but unimpressive.

Cachia - was he there?

Temay - did a couple of nice things when in the open by himself. At least he didn't turn it over!

Lucas - good grief! His ability to stuff up his disposals is impressive... don't be fooled by the number of possessions he got. He did, however, manage to get where the ball was - seems to be preparing himself for a return to WA.

Byrne - still learning but you can see the potential. Good size, moves well, skills coming along nicely.

Buckley went off early injured. Becoming a glass man.

Sheehan didn't play.

At the risk of being repetitive... that last qtr capitulation was simply painful to watch.

Thanks for the report, Baggers. Disappointing about the result. Even more disappointing that Buckley couldn't get through the game unscathed. We certainly have some work to do on our list, and a lot of work to do to develop our players. The last thing we want is for them to capitulate at any time, but the last quarter least of all.

That would be Daniel Currie, spent 3 years at the Swans before being drafted by Norp last trade period. Couldn't break into the 1s at the Swans, left and went to SANFL for a season.
