Murphy is booked in for knee surgery on Monday but will obviously reschedule if we are still playing. Why do we play injured players and wreck their confidence??
Give him some credit, he will declare himself right to go, captains especially will always do that.
So out of all the crap in season 2013 comes opportunity. I had given away this season, after the loss the the dogs. However we are now in a position to take the opportunity handed to us and run with it.
I can think of no greater opportunity for the club to draw a line in the sand, put their heads down and get the job done in Adelaide. We are being tipped against left right and centre, we have injuries and poor form.
STAND UP, it begins here.
If nothing else, we are consitant and falling over when it counts most. Last week v the scum, we had to win and didnt. We will lose this week, nothing surer.
Never before has a team had a mulligan to get into the finals. Let's see if Murphy's comments about playing for the supporters is true.
If their motivation is to play for the supporters, we are in deep cr@p.
They must play for themselves, each other, excellence, success, passion for the contest, their coaches, the club... etc.
Playing for the supporters is PR / Marketing crud. So, if they lose to Pt does it mean they don't really value the supporters? Give me a break!!! No more spin, please.
We're officially 8th now it seems so best we bring our best to the game. After last weeks effort I dare say they'll be contrite enough to put in as they did against Richmond following an insipid loss..
We'd have been ok already if McInnes had've marked instead of punched...
Have you seen the way they play compared to us? LMAO. I dare say it's you who hasn't watched enough of them. I'll happily sit down and watch them play for enjoyment purposes, I watch us because we are Carlton, nothing more. In fact if I wasn't a Carlton man our side is the last side that I'd choose to watch play.
They've turned their compettitive losses into a couple of impressive wins in the second half of the year, we've just dropped off. So yes, our second half of the season has been disgraceful whereas they've shown, at least IMO, that they're going places.
Its simple really, Norf will win because they have to, we will loose because we have to win. Its in our DNA.
My 2 cents, heavy loss coming up and season over and done with (thank fark). I reckon Sat night killed their confidence and will be empty this week. Ins will be irrelavent. Norf will come over the top if they win coz of their %.
I have never been so angry after a game in my life.
+1. Still.
Ive actually calmed down now and my blind rage has passed. I actually want to take the Cheating Scums spot in the finals now more than ever. Why? So I can rub their drug ridden faces right back into it and know that it will piss them off no end. Fark CheatsFC.
Yarran did seem to be around the contest a little more last night cookie which does make you wonder, no Garlett = more space for Yazz to work with? Also, could it be that the three amigos' collectively poor form is actually down to there being one too many up forward? Obviously the three have played far better in previous years with Yazz down back.
Did we make a selection blue though? Jeffy played in the reserves, he could have played last night and moved Yazz to a HBF to cover for Walkers absence. Perhaps Yazz problem at HB is his lack of D. Just saying.
Then I ask the Question again. Why pay out Ratts at $900k or whatever and bring in mick for $3 mill if we fundamentally can't improve the players we have. Seems like a waste of money... no?
Because Mick knows how to build a list and run a club.
If this is indeed the case (and admittedly has been proven), then 2014 is gonna be a VERY big year for Mick.....very big.
I fear for his mental well being after accepting coaching this rabble.
