Gerard Whateley on 360 made some interesting points on Carlton. He said that in the 3rd year of the rebuild, he can't see a style, structure or tactics that has developed..."just can't see it" he said. Hard to argue with that....

In 2013, Melbourne finished 17th on the ladder with 2 wins. We finished 9th with 11 wins. Compare the recruitment and player development of the 2 clubs in the following period. Melbourne miles ahead.  We've had so many wasted years in the past 20. As a 35 year member, makes me sick.

Couldn't get to the game..watched it live on fox.
Great to get the win. Reward for effort as they fought hard to keep the bummers at bay in the last. Even Robert Walls smiled once watching on.

The key to beating the Bombers is to pressure and harass them. They have a lot of down hill skiers in their team and if left to play their attacking run and gun game can score quickly. Apply pressure and it all falls apart quickly and then on queue angry ant Goddard will start his ranting and finger pointing.
