Not sure White can do much if the Swans are free to deliver the ball like that.

We look like a side in need of a "real" match. Have to "re-learn" a running game.

Which is why he shouldn't give away free kicks like that!

Why do our blokes stand so far off opponents when we haven't got the ball, Sydney can just thread the needle and we don't even touch it! Even worse this is the SCG, a small ground!

Which is why he shouldn't give away free kicks like that!

Franklin straight out shoved Rowe square in the back in front of an umpire and wasn't penalised, Rowe retaliates and Franklin gets a free!

Bad work by Curnow, but he pushed him in the back. The not long earlier a perfect tackle by us is a push in the back to them! What's with the phuking umpires. Free kicks 8-3 to them!

We've had 17 tackles!!!

Hendo not match fit and playing like he needs a run.

Cripps is a shining light.

Tutt struggles to get a clear disposal.

Second half, just tell the players to run and take it on. If we get pumped so be it. We just have to learn how to get that aspect of our game going again. Haven't seen it since Round 23 last year.

Hard to do against Sydney on that narrow ground - run that is.  And I also don't think they have the fitness to sustain a running game.

I had issues with Ratten as a coach but since he left our run has vanished.  And the fitness that went with it.

Post by: blue4life on May 29, 2015, 09:08:37 pm
The umpires have given us nothing but we're getting spanked anyway, Sydney are just too slick and have some forwards.
Cripps is a real talent and I've been pleased with Graham, Simmo probably our best so far.
Curnow is sloppy and Bell's made some uncharacteristic mistakes, Jones is beyond bad, it's time we cut our losses with him.
Probably about a 12 or 14 goal loss coming up, which is about what most of us would have expected against a top side missing our three best players.

We have no outside runners and no forwards. Good on the inside, esp. Cripps.

Our basic skill level is atrocious.

The problem is probably to do with all of our forwards being sucked out into the midfield and backline to try to help out and then when we get it forward you've got Levi one on 4.

Mick would drop him after a game like that BTW.

It was never going to be easy. Really happy we have matched and entire game tackle score in half a match so far. Especially against close to the best side in the AFL on their ground. Missing Judd, Murphy and Gibbs. Lets take their best 3 mids out for half a game and see how they play. Big difference in the score but a way better attempt by us so far. Take the game on and run as a group in the second half guys.

Booing Goodes is stupid... the footy media are going to overlook the obvious and accuse Carlton supporters of being racist.  The last thing this club needs right now.

But it is good fun to boo our Juddy?

The umpires have given us nothing but we're getting spanked anyway, Sydney are just too slick and have some forwards.
Cripps is a real talent and I've been pleased with Graham, Simmo probably our best so far.
Curnow is sloppy and Bell's made some uncharacteristic mistakes, Jones is beyond bad, it's time we cut our losses with him.
Probably about a 12 or 14 goal loss coming up, which is about what most of us would have expected against a top side missing our three best players.
good summary Rowe is doing OK

He's become our best defender.  Which is frightening if you think about it.  But he's been excellent on Franklin.

I'd switch White up forward and play Hendo back.  He doesn't want to mark the ball so might as well force him to punch it.

I'll never understand booing Judd. Unless it was for that chicken wing thing he did on North.

The pointless thing about booing Goodes is he's pretty much irrelevant these days. Faded. That dance thing he did tonight was complete w@nk though. If he comes out and says it is for some racist fan I'd be skeptical.

He could do more, but to be fair the guy never gets a chance to get used to the speed of AFL.  He's been good around the ball, but has mentioned above has been a scragged as well.  Interesting to see if he goes missing in the second half.

We need to find ways of keeping the play in our F50. God knows how ATM, our pressure there is poor and the Swans get it out so easily. On the other hand we have to work like Trojans to get it past our HB line.

Sack Barker, he put Henderson down back and we looked solid in the second half of the first quarter, then he goes back forward in the second quarter as we get sweet FA. Henderson is not a forward.

Tutt looks scared to bend down, we got rid of Garlett for the same thing. Carrazzo looks old.

Cripps and Simpson playing well Rowe doing his best.

Menzel, Yarran again doing an impression of invisible men.

With Yarran, first let me say how much I love watching Chris play, my son asked me for a number and he got 13 on his jumper, but FFS Yazz use your pace. It seems that when ever another team has quick players he won't take the game on.

Graham ok, but nothing different to any of his games so far, get some possies but doesn't hurt the opposition with them.

Casboult is definitely a confidence players. Key is to get him on the ball, take a few grabs and he plays well both in the ruck and up forward. If he's stuck forward and not much happens the confidence can go from him very quickly.

Like to somehow lose by less than 5-6 goals. Be a step.

You can almost feel MBB barracking for Sydney. Forgets it'll take absolute weeks to undo the terrible damage that Mick did.

Embarrassing!!!!!

I hate Sydney fool.

I hate Sydney fool.

You're a bigger fool the way you're carrying on. If you think Mick was going to do any good for us then you know nothing about football or you're related to him. We were totally phuked. Now we have to spend weeks fixing his mess. Not that I'd expect you to be even remotely capable of seeing it. And you call other's fools! Maybe you embrace losing.

Embarrassing!!!

Goodes celebration was something ridiculous. No wonder people boo him. No other players celebrate like that towards opposition fans.
Didn't get to see the game, but sounds like we did ok.

Henderson has been bloody poor tonight.

He's never been more than an average footballer but at Carlton he looks like a champ.
I'm completely over Jones, it's like playing a man short every week.

Henderson can't play forward against good defenders. Make him a permanent CHB.

Doesn't want to mark the ball enough to actually mark it. No hunger.

Cast your mind back, can you remember him taking a big pack mark at any time?
We think he's a good player because most of our big blokes are hopeless, compared to Watson and Jones he's a gun.

If a non aboriginal did something as aggressive as that they would at least be fined.

Leave Henderson alone guys. Its obvious we will be getting picks for him to move to Geelong. It couldn't be more obvious. I am really excited we actually got the tackle rate above 60 for the game. Although we looked very fatigued in the 2nd half. Jones needs to be packed in bubble wrap and boxed up. Sent to Taiwan and left there to grow rice, dig holes, or become a giggalo. He has no use at our club. Never liked him. Dogs never felt they lost anything. Thanks Mick for a real steal there. Can we please have the bag of peanuts back that we used for the trade. It better at least be a half full bag, or we are at a loss.
