Carlton vs. West Coast Votes

Team:   F
The first quarter was very good, but after that there was nothing positive. It was embarrassing to see our better players become so ineffective and our midfield and defence being thrashed so badly. I really found it difficult to find contributors.

Votes:
[2.5]   Everitt
[2.5]   Simpson
[2.5]   Docherty
[2.0]   Tuohy
[1.5]   Gibbs
[1.5]   Judd
[0.5]   Ellard
[0.5]   Murphy
[0.5]   Casboult
[0.5]   Yarran
[0.5]   Bell

Explanations:
[2.5]   Everitt   So much better than last week that it was hard to recognize the same player. Everitt got his fair share of the ball and functioned quite well under pressure. A solid effort.
[2.5]   Simpson:   Did his best and got his fair share of ball.
[2.5]   Docherty:   Another strong effort to follow on from last week. He did a god job and attacked as best he could from defence.
[2.0]   Tuohy:   Solid game. Worked hard and ran hard.
[1.5]   Gibbs:   Statistically our best player, but he was much less effective than his impressive stats suggest. He did have 10 tackles. however, and worked hard.
[1.5]   Judd:   First quarter was brilliant. Then he was well covered.
[0.5]   Ellard:    Did a brilliant negative job on Hurn for most of the game. Hurn only got a kick when they were totally on top. Unfortunately he didn't get a lot of the ball himself.
[0.5]   Murphy:   Improved upon last week but still far from his best. OP?
[0.5]   Casboult:   Gave a target up forward and took a couple of excellent marks. Hopeless in the ruck.
[0.5]   Yarran:   Almost as good as Judd in the first quarter, but also dropped out of the game thereafter.
[0.5]   Bell:   Solid contributor.

Honourable Mentions:
Carrazzo:   A down night for Carrots, he worked hard and deserves a mention.

Other Comments:
So many guys did so little. Our forwards never had a chance. We managed only 33 Inside 50's for the night, with half of them coming in the first quarter.
Wood:   Probably his least effective game for us. NicNat and Lycett really towelled him out.

Personally, I would have just given 3 or 4 votes total but you have to give 15 votes

This is only a small sample from me. I usually name more. And there is usually a number in the 'Honourable Mentions' Category. This time I struggled to name 1.
There was a wider spread of votes last week, and we didn't lose by so much, so you would expect a larger number of better players.

I think the average rating will be very close to an "F" this week, which gives a good idea of how we really played.

Split the votes as you choose but it's quite acceptable to pass as well.

Most of those guys gave a four 1/4 effort. Everitt espcially impressed me (im not a fan) with his ability to run for most of the day. Simmo gave 100% as always.
