What has happened to Matt Kennedy????  :(

Playing injured IMO.
Spent a lot of time on the bench getting worked on last week.
Played with a strapped calf
Saw him limping significantly at one point during the game, which i called as an injured calf.

Shouldn't have played him, or Cripps.
Shouldn't have played Durdin the week before.
Playing all these injured players doesn't do us any favours.

Watching Essendon play Nth and not impressed, same soft outside rubbish brand as per usual and the only way we will lose to these muppets is if we dont turn up and play the same soft bruise free rubbish they are playing.
Yes they have pace but they have nothing notable down back and are relying on non specialist forward players like Langford to kick them a winning score. This is a game I feel overly confident about us winning, they wont make the eight imho and as bad as we are at the minute we have more high calibre talent then they do and I can see us rolling the bombers by 5-6 goals.
We probably wont make finals but we can help prevent EFC making the eight and I'll take that as positive out of 2023..

We might struggle in the ruck if Pitto isn't back, I presume he'll be after the bye and it would be silly to prematurely risk a ruck with a fractured hand.

I expect us to pressure their runners, might be another big job coming for Cincotta on Stringer, and for Weiters, McGovern and Kemp I hope to see a night out on intercept marks because CheatsFC tend to do even less damage than us when it comes to possessions.

If we can actually kick it near the side of the barn I don't see CheatsFC stopping Charlie or BigH.

They got home by a bee's dick in the end against North.
We can beat them.

They haven't won but the Roos have been damn good since Ratts started filling in.

Worried about next week.  Can't see us winning off our own steam given how we are playing.

We can beat the bombers.  In fact, I think we can go toe to toe with anyone.  The problem I have is will we?

They kicked more goals in one game than we have in our last two, thats our problem ATM.
Ill stick with my prediction from weeks ago that we'd win the next 2 but I do so with zero confidence.

Can we Improve in the second half of the season. On recent record,  probably not.  Kennedy looks injured, replace him with Hewitt,  Marchbank to replace Silvagni and play Young second ruck, Binns to replace O'Brien and Fogarty to replace Motlop. Can't keep doing the same thing. Time to back ourselves, kick to our team mates and stop missing goals.

We ‘can’ beat them but we won’t.

We have lost 7 of the last 8 and the only win came from a VFL listed team.

We have 4 wins against 8th 15th 17th and 18th placed teams. We sit just above the bottom 4 teams which is where we are at at the moment.

This year is done.

Fogarty is a different type of player compared with Motlop.  Unfortunately he is just as ineffective.

It's just changing deckchairs out of desperation. In a side with a decent list, both Motlop and Durdin would spend time in the VFL learning their craft.

Is Marchbank fit mentally and physically to play well for an entire game?   Why take a risk by rushing him into the side after such a long absence?

Young is hesitant now and has obviously lost form.  He has never impressed in the ruck, so what do we expect from him now?

In fact, the whole side seems to have lost confidence, and that's understandable considering how it find new ways to show incompetence week after week.

I'm at a loss as to how Voss can get any improvement out of this list.

If Marchbank is up to playing this week perhaps move Kemp into SOJ’s spot and Marchbank can do the role Kemp is currently doing in the backline.

Kemp is a great mark, and makes pretty good decisions. Perhaps he could be a viable alternative forward target…

Id probably keep Kemp down back for this game, reckon he will have to play on one of Langford or Stringer...not sure Id trust the slower Marchbank on either of those two with no senior games under his belt.

Another game day result that will further do my head in. If we lose by less than 4 goals, I won’t be completely devastated. Angry yes for the loss, but my expectations from this group is extremely low at the moment. Score board results that is. The results that actually count.
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

This sounds both stupid and obvious but we have to find a way to score goals. The players need to get their mind around that being their sole focus. Win the footy, get it forward and score doesn't matter who, just score. Take on in the responsibility. We have to do better than 6 or 7 goals from 50-60 entries. We seem to have tried Charlie further up the ground and H closer to home, it seems to me to be the wrong combo, the other way around seems to work slightly better for us. Thoughts?
