AFL Rd 17:   Carlton vs Fremantle
Two wins in Perth for the year is excellent. 3 really strong quarters, smashing a team with a good ruckman when we had none. That’s something to remember.
Team:   A

Votes:
[2]   Adam Cerra
[2]   Sam Walsh
[2]   Jacob Weitering
[2]   Patrick Cripps
[1]   Sam Docherty
[1]   Harry McKay
[1]   Jack Silvagni
[1]   Blake Acres
[0.5]   Adam Saad
[0.5]   Matthew Kennedy
[0.5]   Lachie Fogarty
[0.5]   Nic Newman
[0.5]   Charlie Curnow
[0.5]   Jack Martin

Explanations:
[2]   Adam Cerra:      Another brilliant game for Cerra. 6 clearances and 6 tackles.
[2]   Sam Walsh:      An incredible first half, Sam was a bit quieter after that, but he’d already done the damage. His run and flair were excellent.
[2]   Jacob Weitering:   One of the more dominant games from a key defender that you’re likely to see. His aerial work was excellent.
[2]   Patrick Cripps:      10 clearances and 5 tackles were just some of the highlights from a brilliant game.
[1]   Sam Docherty:   Another Doc sort of game.
[1]   Harry McKay:      20 possessions and 8 marks for a key forward is a dominant game.
[1]   Jack Silvagni:      Jack had a really solid game and helped nullify Freo’s ruck dominance.
[1]   Blake Acres:      A very strong game from Blake, dominating his wing.4 tackles and 4 clearances.
[0.5]   Adam Saad:      Another Saad game, beating his opponent and providing run.
[0.5]   Matthew Kennedy:   An excellent game before he was injured.
[0.5]   Lachie Fogarty:   Fog continues his present resurgence. He had 5 tackles and a brilliant goal.
[0.5]   Nic Newman:      Probably deserves a lot more votes, Nic continues an excellent vein of form.
[0.5]   Charlie Curnow:   If he could kick straight – a strong effort against a good foe, that should have been 5 or 6 goals.
[0.5]   Jack Martin:      Martin was ordinary in the first half; his opponent got a lot of the pill. But martin lifted in the second half and was not just dangerous, but a real contributor in our forward line.

Honourable Mentions:
Matt Owies:      Hard work is his essence. Quieter than some games this year, but keeps his opponents busy.
Lewis Young:      Did a good job against Darcy. Limited an influence that could have been lethal.
Mitch McGovern:   Almost vote worthy. An excellent game in defence.
Matthew Cottrell:   Another solid effort from Matthew. His run was excellent.
Live Long and Prosper!
