Jim Park Voting 2023 AFL Rd 21 Carlton vs St Kilda

Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.

AFL Rd 21:   Carlton vs St Kilda
Our first half was ordinary, but after half time, we were excellent.
Team:   A
I was tempted to give a B+, but that second half, allowing only 1 goal against us, was the sort of footy we really want to play.

Votes:
[2.5]   Nic Newman:
[1.5]   Patrick Cripps:
[1.5]   Zac Fisher
[1.5]   Blake Acres
[1]   Sam Docherty
[1]   Jacob Weitering
[1]   Paddy Dow
[1]   Oliver Hollands
[1]   George Hewett
[1]   Tom de Koning
[0.5]   Jesse Motlop
[0.5]   Jack Martin
[0.5]   Brodie Kemp
[0.5]   Alex Cincotta

Explanations:
[2.5]   Nic Newman:      What a game from defence. Going at about 90%, he had 35 possessions, 13 marks, and 4 clearances from deep defence.
[1.5]   Patrick Cripps:      Not as huge as he can be, but 11 clearances says all that need be known.
[1.5]   Zac Fisher:      One of Fisher’s best ever games. 32 possessions from defence.
[1.5]   Blake Acres:      A really solid game with some huge moments. His defensive marking and his goals were special.
[1]   Sam Docherty:   Another Doc game: keeps getting the ball and putting huge pressure on.
[1]   Jacob Weitering:   Dominated the key defensive post.
[1]   Paddy Dow:      A little quiet early, but his second half was huge. His goal to get us in front was excellent.
[1]   Oliver Hollands:   Ordinary early, Ollie really lifted and provided huge drive and effort.
[1]   George Hewett:   A solid Hewett game
[1]   Tom de Koning:   Very ordinary early, Tom really lifted after half time and was instrumental in our clearances in the second half. His goal wasn’t half bad either.
[0.5]   Jesse Motlop:      Not a huge game, but a couple of very good goals. Always dangerous.
[0.5]   Jack Martin:      Like Motlop, Martin didn’t have a huge game, but he put in well and was instrumental in a number of our scoring oppotunities.
[0.5]   Brodie Kemp:      Dow a bit early, he lifted and provided great drive from defence.
[0.5]   Alex Cincotta:      A real desperado, Alex’s efforts really made a difference.

Honourable Mentions:
Marc Pittonet:         Like Tom de Koning, Marc was ordinary early, but he really lifted and started taking marks and providing drive.
David Cuningham:      Not his greatest game, but a solid one.
Adam Saad:         More defensive than is often the case, Saad really controlled his opponents.
Matt Owies:      Always dangerous.
Charlie Curnow:   Two or three timed for most of the game, but his possessions were lethal and made goals for us.
Matt Cottrell:      Solid contribution
