Yup, once sentence explains a bunch.

Sure does!

As PI2C eloquently put it, "Thank fork he's gone."

I'm a long way off (Coral Bay) and haven't seen, heard or read much footy news but I'm struck by the comparison with the Bulldogs enjoying having the shackles taken off.
“Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?”  Oddball

If we continue to play as we did last game we will at least be competitive and have a chance. It should help the players build on their individual confidence. Belief is a funny thing. ;)

I doubt we will win, but would like to see a contest. As long as we run hard both ways. Tackle hard and support each other. Not asking for the impossible.
This digital world is too much for us insects to understand.

Yep, agree with this. If we can hang in, be competitive, do the 1 percenters then fortune may just smile on us. What's that saying, ' fortune favours the brave" ?
Reality always wins in the end.

Where's Jamison?
Gibbs and Yarran are good ins but we won't win many with White and Rowe as our two key backs.

No need to get all defensive. :)

Regardless, 'We’re not going to be punished for mistakes' is a pretty damning statement that gives us some sort of insight into what was going on at our club under Mick. Thank fork he is gone. You're going to have to deal with getting it horribly wrong mate, we've all been there before. ;)

I'm not getting defensive, just pointing out that the article tells more than one story.

The line you have quoted here tells a story.  What mistakes is Army talking about here? What do they consider punishment?

The next few lines also provide us with some insight into Army's truth telling in this article, which means that we cant really trust anything he has stated and can only take it at best as a nothing article:

"Armfield also says he was as shocked as anyone else at Tuesday’s news that star midfielder Dale Thomas will miss the rest of the season following a shoulder reconstruction.

“I was just as shocked as most of the public — I thought he was close to coming back after the bye,” he said.

“The shoulder was just a bit too much for him.”

Dead set having a lend he is.  Blind Freddie could see that coming, and no one is convinced that the shoulder is the reason he isn't back given he went down with a toe injury.

Maybe that's the whole idea! ;)

named in the VFL this week.  Hopefully he is helping Jaksch development there rather than playing seniors.

Was in the coaches box against Geelong a few weeks ago.

Thomas is one we'll just have to put down to yet another bad recruiting decision and hope we can get some decent football out of him in the next few years, he didn't cost us pick 7 like Jaksch did or pick 11 like McLean, and at least we know that Thomas even at 80% is still a bloody good footballer.

Yep. Probably unfair to put any blame or criticisms on Daisy... that lies elsewhere. Fit and well, he will be good for us plus he is apparently very good behind the scenes as well.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

I get very jealous about not being able to watch the seconds, would love to live in Melb and wander into the suburban grounds watching who's up next.
