Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Pick your best 22 players
Of the newbies I would tip Jones as the most likely to get a senior game R1. There is a direct vacancy for him left by Waite. Boekhorst probably next in line to provide some more run.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Pick your best 22 players
I only voted for 22 players from those who were on the list last year as I've no idea what the new guys are really like and how they compare. I'm hoping though that a LOT of them would be on my list after the 2015 season and it would be good to rerun this poll at that point.

PS. I didn't attempt to pick a balanced side - just the best 22 players IMO. Would be an interesting exercise to pick a side from the eventual best 22 polled?

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: Mark of the year!!
Reminds me of a very large croc I saw leaping up from out of the Adelaide River a few years ago! Fantastic!

RIP Joe, the lad from Sheffield.

He certainly lived the full sex, drugs and rock 'n roll lifestyle in his hey day.

Was a big fan.

Ps. I heard he had to cut down a bit on the rock 'n roll in later years.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Covering Our Forwards
I am concerned!

After Waite's inexplicable sojourn in the NBs, he played 16 games, kicked 29 goals and was rated 4th in contested marks per game and 9th for marks inside 50 per game.  I will be pleasantly surprised if any of our key forwards can get close to that.

Fair enough DJC he had a good spell in a period he was looking for a longer contract. Now he's got that can he maintain this performance over the journey? Big question IMO.

Waite does play a few good games each year but his injury and suspension records speak for themselves. Unless he can turn this around I'm not that worried that he's at NMFC.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rnd 1/Best 22 2015
Lewis vs Curnow....daylight IMO in terms of ability, the former is a harder more aggressive player who is a better kick, hits the scoreboard and is a AA player...
Ed might have him covered in terms of endurance/tank etc but Lewis is a much better footballer IMO.
Then you have the leadership Lewis provides and as we all knowhe  is a nasty customer on the field which we could do with....
Put Lewis in our team and we would be top 8  and he would probably be the captain.....IMO..

Agree - if the Hawks offered to swap Curnow for Lewis I would bite their hand off!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Hits & Misses 2014
These are my main ones - could go on at much greater length though.

Hits
Gibbs
Trigg
Judd stays for another year
Murphy improving as capt.
Wood surprise packet.
Recruiting but jury still out
List cleanout

Misses
Shocking season start
Board/The Judge - still a boys club it seems.
List Management - Wright not secured. SoS may prove to be OK though.
MM far too easily provoked/baited by media.
Better form by season's end but still could not finish off some close games - lack of killer punch.
Garlett/Robbo debacle - glad they've gone though.
Daisy not really fully ready.
Warnock/Kreuzer non contributors (different reasons).
