Title: Daisy and Billy in the jungle?
Post by: kruddler on January 06, 2020, 11:12:57 am
I'm a celebrity is currently announcing which 'celebrities' are going into the jungle and there are 2 more announced tonight which most are tipping to be Daisy Thomas and Billy Brownless.

I'm not usually a fan of the show, but i did see large parts of it when Fev was involved and its very 'warts and all' and compelling viewing. This is where Fev came clean about all his issues with mental health, gambling and his sacking with Vossy in the mental institute.

Reckon both Daisy and Billy would have a fair bit of laundry to air out in public that would be worth listening too.

Would either of these 2 make the difference between you watching it or not?

No. Just wait for the episode wrap in the dailies or the AFL media.

Based on those wraps previously, there is a lot of it of importance that they missed with Fev.

You need a very forgiving constitution to watch those shows, something which I lack. You can be quite certain that in one way or another, any relevant bits from Daisy will make their way onto here or other places that I frequent. I've got nothing against Billy Brownless, but he doesn't interest me in any way.

Not my cup of tea but my wife watches it.

The new season of Survivor looks like it's going to be a good one.

Never watched the show but it looks like scripted garbage if you look at the ads....might be interesting if some large jungle animal ate the hosts or contestants.

About to discuss his retirement after the break.

What did he say? Anything we didn't already know?

Not much.
Said he decided to retire when the club told him there was no spot on the list for him.
Said he is loving retirement at the moment because for the first time in his life he has the freedom to do whatever he wants.
eg. Play golf, have a pot with his parma etc.
Mentioned he started to hate footy but fell back in love with it in his last couple of years.

Bill has enough dirty laundry to keep a battery of Laundromats busy for a long time.

I suppose some of his "mates" have gone into hiding faster than a Green Politician during bush fire season!

Billy is a great bloke, had his own problems mostly alcohol related, but he didn't deserve the way he was treated. He'll tell you he mostly blames himself!

There are way too many individuals who seem to end up collateral damage from being around just a handful of media personalities, it's always the same 5 or 6 you find in the background who seem to be somehow involved and yet escape scrutiny time after time while being quick to tell the world that individuals have to take responsibility for their own behaviour.

I must have a similar constitution as I begin to feel physically ill if I happen to be in a room where an unreality program is playing.

I know that I can rely on CSC members to pass on any items of interest about Daisy :)

That's you, Pauly and me, David. I firmly believe that if you're in the same room as a reality show and pay careful attention, you can literally feel your IQ points falling.  😬  Only the other night I saw a promo for the survivor cr@p and I went looking for a basket I could weave.

For those interested, Daisy finished second behind Miguel Maestre.

Saw it on TV before work yesterday. Didn’t think he would make it that far.

Is this the show where folk marry someone they’ve never clapped eyes on?  Who did Daisy marry?

Then that seems like Daisy had an unfair advantage, he spent years at the Filth!

Didn't end up watching much of this, but one episode i saw was when they needed to stick their head in a box full of snakes, and shoot blow darts at a balloon.....being shocked with electricity both walking to and from the box. (not while they had their head in a box though.
(Yes, it is THAT kind of show)

Upon hearing the task, Daisy teared up as he has a severe phobia of snakes.

Everyone who was getting shocked was swearing and jumping about in pain....including Daisy in a previous task.
However, when it was Daisys turn to stick his head in with snakes, he went into 'professional mode'. He focussed fully on what needed to happen, faced his fears and absorbed the shocks with little more than a slight muscle spasm. So much so that they questioned if he was no longer being shocked. He put his head in the box, did what he had to do and went back to celebrate.

The shear will and determination of the bloke under extremely trying circumstances had to be commended. He won a lot of fans that day, and universal respect.
