Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Carlton B & F
Congratulations to Gibbs. From all reports seems to have been a popular winner.

Special mention to Sam Rowe who I said "had played the worst game ever by a Carlton footballer" earlier in the year (was it the Essendon game?). He certainly stuck it up me. Well done.

Also great to see a couple of our new recruits in Everitt and Docherty get in the top 10.

Although not a major shift it's still a tiny step in the right direction. I know we seem to be playing better at Etihard this year, but much prefer G games. To tell you the truth as long as as there's less stinkin Monday night, Thursday night, Sunday night and twilight games I'll be happy.

As bitterly dissapointing as last nights loss was at least we looked like we were going to win. As is too often the case our errors cost us dearly. Still some positives are in play but I’m a bit too scarred from previous years to let myself get too carried away with what the future may hold.
However depressing it all was last night, I’ll be more peed-off if we follow-up next week with a dismal effort against Gold Coast and lose again against a side we should beat, again.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Blues V North - Pre game thread
First time all year I did a fist pump when I saw he side. Not because of the ins but because of the one out. Spud Warnock. Thank the sweet lord. As far as I'm concerned Wood only has to break even with Goldstein in the ruck take a couple of marks and give off a few handballs to be ahead of that useless piece of carp.

Btw, that's now 3 weeks in a row whereby Warnock's opponent has been clearly in their best and who have been in the top 3 for SC scores. My lawn mower's got a bigger tank than Warnock. He has been largely abysmal the past 3 weeks and I for one would love to see Cam Wood get a gig ahead of him (is he eligible?) If it's good enough for the likes of Waite and Garlett to be dropped, then why not Warnock?

God almighty every time I see sauce Jacobs have a great game (as he did yesterday) I spit chips at the imbeciles who decided to let him go to Adelaide. I know he wanted to get back there but honestly we should've tried a hell of a lot harder to keep him and offload the spud Warnock. He is as bad a ruckman as I've seen in any team ever. Oh, maybe slightly better than Ricky Mott.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Round 14 - Giants defeat Blues - after match summary
People can go on about Malthouse as much as they like but the truth is we've got way too many sub-standard footballers playing in our team with plenty more waiting in the wings. Turned off the radio at 3/4 time knowing full well we weren't going anywhere. Just hoping for a couple of flukes now against the filth and the scum and honestly we could do it. That's how erratic we are.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: R13 Hawthorn vs Carlton (Prematch Deliberations)
I don't know who comes in but one bloke definitely needs to go out and that is Garlett. Can't afford to play soft$$cks against the Hawks. Biggest problem I see is who will play on Roughead? Same type of player as Hawkins and even though Jammo did very well on him isn't he carrying an injury or six? Might be the night that Hendo finally stands up. Give him first crack and see if it propels him into form.
Tactically there is only one way you beat Hawthorn and that is fast effective play through the corridor. Hey, let's face it it'll beat any team. Problem with us is we don't have the foot skills and the turnovers will kill us.
If we play like we did against Geelong it should be a 6 goal loss. If we play like we did against Brisbane it'll be 12.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 11 - BLUES Lose To Lions (Embarrassment & Dispair)
Interesting parallel. Hawthorn get challenged by the 2nd bottom team today and manage to scrape through by 7 points. Highlights the difference between top team and also-rans.

Yeah, mind blowing result. We are not as good as hawthorn!
Yeah, well we're not even as good as Hawthorn missing Lake, Gibson, Mitchell, McEvoy, Rioli and Whitecross, but that wasn't my point. It was more about when they get challenged they respond and I expect them to win. When we get challenged we fold and that I also expect which is a sad indictment on our club.

Didn't see the game just the highlights. I personally would like to come to the defense of both Waite and Yarran. Both incidents hardly warranted a free kick let alone a 50. Seriously lets get a grip. Isn't there that staging report still going around. The one Waite got a reprimand for? Honestly if he gets cited for that how does Rockliff not even get mentioned in the same context. Not a smart thing to do by Waite but to basically orchestrate the change in the lead, and possibly the result of a game, that tight is just plain criminal. Jeez Hawthorn and Geelong give plenty of treatment like this out and hardly ever get penalised.
Still we were crape and we are a crap club going nowhere.
Bring on the next purge.
Message to the club. Please, please, please if your looking at someone to draft if they can't kick, can't run and can't put their body on the line then they can't play at the CFC.
