This season has been an inperfect storm. Injuries to key players., meaning we’re either forced to play half fit players, or useless depth players like Kerridge, Mullett and O Shea. Kids who previously showed plenty all terribly out of form at the same time. Jones not the same player.
Season over after Round 4... what a sad Club we have become. What’s scarier is we have JK, Darling, LeCeas and Nuc Nat to deal with next week. Yet another thrashing
What a joke. Promised so much but have delivered nothing. Being a young side doesn’t mean you can play with no balls and no heart. Sick of our Club being a laughing stock.
Good luck to her, but imagine what would happen to someone like little Georgia Gee if she was standing under a hospital handball and Mouncey was charging through. Lawsuit waiting to happen.
Levi should be left to seek other opportunities at the End if the year. Enough is enough. Could've cost us two wins in the last two weeks with his bad kicking if others did t pick up the slack. The rebirth of Liam Jones continues. Those dribble shots at goal.... grrrrr. Gibbs has been a gun this year. If he still wants to leave, Crows now know they have to pay big. Murph needs to clean up his disposal. SOS had one of his best games for us. Simms could quite conseivebly do a Bradles and play deep into his 30s. Doc, just give him his AA spot already. Gun!! Kreuzberg, career best year I reckon. Heart and Soul.
Good to see Waite is still a flog. So glad someone with such a smarta*se attitude is no longer at our Club. SOJ shown little for weeks Maybe time for a bit of a confidence boost in the 2nds SPS not the same since Rising Star nom, but what he does, he does well Weiteting havimg 2nd year blues Still not sold on Graham Cripps has to stop thinking he's the Incredible Hulk and trying to take on half the opposition. Too many fumbles and dumb decisions at crucial stages cost us I know we ve got a couple of talented key forwards developing in the 2nds, but looking forward to the day they start playing at AFL level, as our forward line is really crying out for key position targets. Had them on toast way in the last and should ve just finished them off, but crapped ourselves when the going got tough just like on the Ders and Saints games. To be expected I guess when you work so hard just to get back in the game, but it'd be nice if we could jag one of these games soon.
Very impressed with Cunningham yesterday. How good is it finally having a super talented bunch of kids coming through at the same time. Early days I know, but reckon we ve absolutely NAILED the past two drafts.
The Club is making a massive statement by luring over the best young key forward in the comp, along with Collingwood's All Australian B&F winner. With Harris, Vescio, Stevens, and Davey, we'll be star studded next year, and the flag is a realistic objective. The old days are back, albeit in the AFLW!!
Wasn't a flogging. We were still in the game until the last 10 mins. Hard to run out a game well when you've been playing in the slog with 2 less players for half the game.
Too many errors cost us yet again. Once we went 2 men down early in the 3rd term, we were never going to win in those sorts of conditions. Confused as to why Murph was being booed by some fans. Get Sav to put some time into Jack. Plowman cost us with some crucial errors. SPS, Charlie, and a couple other kids were virtually invisible Graham reminded me why I didnt see him in our future plans. Michael Walters' over celebrating really gave me the s**ts. The scoreboard flattered Freo in the end.
If Daisy Thomas does nothing more of note in a Carlton jumper, I'll always love him for his goal in the last term. Last quarter, against his old side, game on the line, in front of their feral Cheer Squad and on ther 125th Anniversary Celebrations.. Knife stuck firmly through their hearts... The ultimate insult to them, and a job well done!!
Green Shoots for Round 5: - Polson's chase down tackle - Another small bag to Levi - SOS never stopped trying - Charlie Curnow prob showed his best stuff so far, particularly in the 1st half - Cripps return to decent form - Charlie Dixon kept quiet - We didn't lay down in the last term - With 10 players 21 and under, we were never going to go anywhere near a win. ------------------------------- Unfortunately, we will always get cut apart by our opponents because we don't make them pay on the scoreboard when we should, and our skills are pathetic and we all too often turn the ball over to them. Our supposed senior leaders always were and always will be 'downhill skiers'. Again for the second week in a row, they were invisible in the 3rd term when we were crying out for leadership.
