Rowe has got another two years.

Personally I would not have resigned him, but now that he has been resigned, the ONE thing that I want to see from him, is that after he punches a ball away from an opponent in a marking contest, or punches the ball away in a pack situation, he actually puts in a second effort, and doesn't just stand there like a statue looking at what is happening around him as he always does, and puts in a second effort, EVERY TIME!!

Levi put in a bit more in the last 5 minutes, but he's suddenly developed cement hands. Always happens once you give blokes a wrap.

Hate to knock umpires, but for every obvious free they are giving tonite, most of them have not only been ridiculous, the one to Selwood for example against Rowe, but have gone to the pussys.

There is a lot wrong with the way the game is played today. The drop in crowd numbers tell you that the general public don't like what the are seeing.

Among my beef's with the game is, when you go into attack, and there is not one player from your team in the forward 50.

That time, unlike the last time Thomas got the ball, at least he had a target to kick to in Menzel. Result a goal.

Noticed a real contrast between the two teams.

We go sideways, backwards, anywhere but straight ahead and literally have 3-4 more disposals than needed to get from point A to point B. The Cats on the other hand are far more direct and prepared to take the game on and due to their better disposal skills, make it happen.

You have to be thankful that Hawkins has been wayward with his kicking too. Don't want to give him any more opportunities because he is going to start nailing them soon enough.

Agree Yarran and Waite not playing well. Gee Sheehan has a burst of speed and runs to provide an option. The kid plays with a lot of confidence.

Yarran is too loose for Motlop...Taylor getting too much easy footy as well.
Unlucky Rowe with the bounce of that ball...Cats forward line is too open and we need to fill the holes and get back quicker.
Casboult looking better and Graham has continued on some reasonable form...

Well in the game and if you reverse the Horlin-Smith snap with the Armfield snap and miss then we lead.......just hope its not that little extra polish from Geelong thsat sees them win....Army just has to kick those goals to keep his spot.

Murphy gets a square up free 1 min into the second half...  makes up for about 1 of the 50 missed throws, held with the pill.... AND MISSES FROM 25 m.

Our use of the ball into F50 has been awful... because Waite is held every time, Casboult non-existent and no other marking options presenting because they seem to always have been sucked up the ground and out of position.

Impressed by Bell around the contest in the second quarter...  important touches and pressure acts.

Why do we constantly let the cats get uncontested short marks, especially across the centre?

Armfield is basically a witches hat ATM.

Sheehan lacks nous but at least can kick and is a decent size.  Something to work with.

What the fk is wrong with these blokes. I don't give a stuff about the height differential. Use your bloody brains if you have got any and don't bloody tackle him, and if you do Cameron Wood, then don't be a lazy prk and bend right down.

We are clinging to a slim lead at 3/4 time, just have that feeling the Cats class & overall poise might get them over the line again at the death.

Been some good efforts across the ground, have been waiting for Waite to unleash but he has been a non-event thus far.

The absence of a dominant key forward is shown up again too.

Armfield has to go. Ellard injured but not good venough anyway, Levi, too one dimensional, Graham a non-contributor, you won't finish in the top 4 with players of his caliber. Touhey, not only doesn't do enough but fks up too often. Sam Docherty fks up all the time. Yarran stupid kicks bad choices.

Simmo, made a guest appearance, Wood did littrle, and then the injuries.

So a great coaching effort and thanks to the 15 players that put in.

Bloody hell, that umpire call was ridiculous! Wasn't a free but what truly baffled me is how can a umpire that isn't even near the contest call a push in the back when he isn't even situated behind the play?!?!

Doesn't he trust his colleague? They should be operating on zones and let one guy deal with the play in one area.

Anyway, very happy with the performance, didn't get to see the whole game as i was attending guest most of the night. From what i saw, White played horrendous and Casboult was less than average.

Levi's sticky hands seem to have lost their adhesion.

He does well. He doesnt get the service that Hawkins gets. Put him in there team and watch ever1 say what a star he is.
Yeah Caz is spent but fk me, he does a power of work around the ground. How many times was he our get out of jail card from a kick in / 2nd kick from a kick in tonight??? What more do you folk expect????

Waite sooked it up for mine tonight. Dropped his head too often and didnt put in the 2nd efforts of the past 5 weeks.

What a contrast the fwd lines were though. There's was constantly open and ours constantly cluttered...... hy? they have superior foot skills and smarts from defense to attack. Their goals came a lot easier than ours did. We work so hard for a goal but let one or 2 or 3 through with no or little pressure.

All in all, a gallant effort soley for playing without a bench in the last qrt.

Atleast I'm proud to call them my team once again. The effort is there, it's just honing the skills that needs work.

Ran out of soldiers and too many passengers.

Grow a pair Richo and ask Selwood why Mackie hit a hurt player.

It's hilarious....it's like it never happened on 7....never mentioned again & not a replay in site....sweep it under the carpet boys!!!!

And we got within a goal of the "Top Side" (tonight anyway)....cmon BigNic....we weren't that bad surely?????

Games are won when you win the big plays.....Caddy should never have marked that footy in the pack, that goal gave them belief and we went into hang on mode and never looked like scoring.

We didnt have the belief they did and played like a team who knew they would be run over IMO....

Err, I never questioned his work rate or his effort, neither of which have tailed off this season. His ability to stick a mark has tailed off.

Levi dropped far more than he marked and should have fisted through a ball that was marked right on the line resulting in a Geelong goal. As I said, he's too one dimensional and must improve his ground skills and second efforts, otherwise he's just another log of wood who can take a mark.

Let alone being physically knackered due to no rotations, in the last 5 min of an AFL game.........I wasnt expecting there thought processes to be too clear myself!! ;)

You know, I'm truly shattered by the loss but cant help but feel like the tide is genuinely starting to turn.

Simpson was tagged by Kelly and Malthouse didnt react to that move IMO....agree on Armfield, Ellard etc...Levi played on the form backman in the comp and got a lesson...Taylor is very good below his knees as well as being strong in the air. I would have made Levi play out of the goalsqaure and drag Taylor out of the play.
We were very poor structure wise down forward and I would sack that numptie Barker and get someone who knows how to setup vs different teams with different strengths.....Taylor murdered Freo last week by marking everything playing on another inexperienced ruck/forward in Clarke and Barker learned nothing from it.....

Yep - Barker has been a huge worry from day 1. That appointment is a real head scratcher.

Levi had atleast 5 kicks that were kicked too bloody high for him to mark too.  Last eek, he was poo. I fully agree. But gee you guys are being harsh on his efforts tonight??
