Robert Heatley Stand / Re: What Has Turned Around Bryce Gibbs ??
Might be finally playing his correct role in a side with vastly improved structure... also seems to be going harder at it for longer.  So some improvement is a result of structure, the rest appears to be a stronger mind set.  Kudos to coaching and player.

Sam Rowe take a bow.

I've questioned Gibbs and queried his parentage but today shows why he such a frustrating player, but damn he was good today, better than Dangerfield and Selwood and that says something .His actions today showed that he can be a truly elite player and leader.

See your point EB but none of Hawkins, Kersten or Motlop run both ways.  Their midfield is very good but shallow as well.  I can't see us winning as we won't kick enough goals but if we had a decent ruck to give us first use we could give them a scare.

I'm worried about Cripps' longevity.  Rest him.

Danger, the Ducker and the Diver will have field days vs us next week, expecting 15 goal loss.  Cripps being absent won't matter squat.

Oh and expect that mob of posers to be talked about re the flag again next week...  Don't you have to beat decent sides to be a contender?

Not sure how walker fits into the side... Days of being a mid sized mobile forward are over.  Not taking marks and kicking well and not offering much within the defensive sphere. Had some chances to get back into the swing if things and looks a yard behind behind the game.  Time to try someone else.

Everritt is the classic soft cherry picker HF flanker.  We are going to debate his inclusion on a weekly basis until a kid pushes him from the team.  Stays in the side, for now, but suspect he is on notice for consistency of effort.

Outstanding, gutsy effort epitomised by selfless, team orientated football with contributions from everybody.

All we ask for as supporters is 100% effort and we got that today.

To see blokes like Rowe step up when it matters shows that the group is developing and underlines that the club is heading in the right direction - not flash in the pan stuff but wholescale cultural shift.
