Robert Heatley Stand / Re: VFL Rd 9: Northern Blues vs Frankston at Ikon
on when SOSOS is ready to play for the Blues.
I saw SOS play his first game.
He was so young and unready,
but as I recall he played on Peter Knights.
That is formidible!
He took a screamer over PeterK
PeterK took a screamer over SOS
He did well.
His talent radiated.
I look forward to seeing Jack play
I am sure Stephen and Serge will give the nod when he is ready.
Silvagni is Carlton at its best.
Long for the day!

Great analysis on this page
Congratulations
I noticed that when Gorringe took over the main ruck job he did quite well.
He has a good spring and got his hand to the ball first.
He is not going to compete in the boundary line Maul Rucking and should not try, he is too light.
When he took over we did a lot better.
Couple of good grabs as well.
The ruck coaches have got to keep working on him, he is worth the effort

Northern Blues 4.2.26, Frankston 2.6.18. #WeMarchNorth #PJVFL
Quarter Time
On the siren, Silvagni's got his third! NB 26 FRA 18.
and SOSOS has three. #WeMarchNorth #PJVFL
It will be interesting to see a Silvagni on the paddock for carlton wearing jumper No 2

I would like to put a word in for Gibbs.
Gibbs was in the thick of it - alwyas one of the two or three Blues who laid a tackle. Great commitment.
When the Ball was loose and scrambled for, Gibbs was in there and his flicks and hits made opportunties for others.
Gibbs made a great contribution and it went on all day. Just that some days even for an immensely talented guy like Gibbs,  it does not turn out to be pretty.

It seemed to me that Casboult's run up to take marks was being jeopardized.  By the time he flew he was  invariably out of balance.  I wonder if this is s strategy opponents have worked out!
Of course he scares the to death and because of this focus on Levi there are opportunities  for Walker and Gorringe.
If there is a strategy employed against the 'foremost contested Marker' as he is called, the brain thrust wiwll need to offer a counter strategy.
I liked that bit of mongrel when he tit for tat against  Robinson - though it be too crude.
I love the way Levi hits the packs.  It helps if the brave carry buises!

Good Bloke Goodes
Thought his war dance was good, he would get a good mark for a Maori Haka.
It was not aborigine. No Way.
But he has had injury,
lots of pressure on him,
nearing the end of his career.
hamming up a bit.
I hope enjoyed the stir

ps if he was playing for Carlton I would have thought it highly appropriate

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Justin Madden - players must take the heat.
I thought Justin spoke the truth.  When a team is struggling, all in the club have to bind together. David Parkin said something similar.

Our list has a lot of class, there is just a lack of confidence.  Mick's time might be up at the end of the year because we need to have a three+ year plan to be competitive.

I would hope that we keep the stars we have. We only need a couple of guys to lift, to click and we could threaten the big guys.

The readiness to shoot the coach is destructive- and I tell you something, I am not much interested in Jack Elliots view.  I think we are still recovering from his decision to sack Wayne Britain

Will be an interesting game. Essendon should be dead flat and on the carpet, and yet they get up and beat Hawthorn. Somehow Hird has bluffed his way through the 'walls of shame' and shockingly has a successful team.
The Blues have started well and then got rolled. To start well is a good sign and to collapse as they have should be able to be analysed and fixed.
I have an inkling that we will toss the Bombers and wouldn't it be a wonderful statement of decency.
The Blues are a quality bunch of blokes - and quality blokes face up!
Here's hoping!!!

Great to hear good reports of Watson.
MickM says he might give him a game next week.
Obviously guys in the club have time for Watson, but I think he needs to win his place by hard slogging week-after-week performance.
He is a very nice unit but that touch of desperation could make him a great AFL presence
