The only exception to this pattern has been O'Shea, who was brilliant from day 1. I wonder where he is playing now.
I read somewhere a while back he was heading up to the NT League, after that I haven't ready anything else.

Good luck to O'Shea. He was perfect for the NB's.

I asked around after your earlier post, and a contact tells me he was thinking of having a crack at an NFL gig! :o

I suspect that our injuries, rebuild and subsequent 'thin' list filtered down to the NBs making it almost impossible for them to put a regular 'strong' side on the park.

Hopefully the NBs will deliver more this year with the list stronger and not as many injuries (fingers crossed it remains that way).

I am one who has been on the stand alone bandwagon for years, and it has to happen sooner rather than later.

On the issue of standalone, I wonder if the AFL's seemingly repetitive indecision regarding a Reserves or Unders competition stops clubs making progress.

AFL clubs seem unhappy with the current structures, VFL, TAC Cup, Academies, etc., etc.. I find this a bit ironic because in my personal experience AFL clubs already have too much say at those levels, so much so they have made the development levels dysfunctional and mono-cultural.

If any of our members made it to the Bombers v Blues match yesterday, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts, opinions etc. The game barely got a mention on here.

Thanks.

Sturgess and Webb to play VFL for the NB's. They clearly think they are next in line in case of any injuries.

Both Archie and Oskar Manton have been playing practice matches, as has Goddard's brother, Jeremy.
