Sam Petrevski-Seaton - time to be moved out of the backline ?
Have other teams have worked Sam out, I suspect so! Sam often retains possession while picking out a team mate to pass the ball too. It has been commented that "he makes time stand still" . A great skill, but not good if he is regularly being caught with the ball down back.
Tom De Koning 21 years, 203cm & 97 kg. Everything written about him from our Northern Blues/Reserves watchers and his form in 2 AFL games suggests he is big potential for Carlton............but provided we can keep him!!! So if he is fit - Bring Him In
cheers Ab ps. Even if it means playing MoneyBags down back!
Still talking.... "Pre Game" Tom "De Koning joined TAC Cup club Dandenong Stingrays and kicked nine goals in 2016 as a 17-year-old against the Northern Knights" Wikipedia

Haven't been able to find much information on this match. Do we know what time the game is commencing? Likewise who is on the field and who might being held back for the main game! Guess any sort of commentary or even scores is unlikely.
We seem to be in a football world of "minimal information" for the masses. Looked earlier to see who our emergencies are for the tonight, but couldn't locate any reference.
Perhaps someone is perched "up in a tree" overlooking Kardinia oval and can shed some light!
Haven't located any details of what time this game was dues to commence. Likewise it would be interesting to know who is on the field and who has been held back for the main game. The general lack of information for supporters seems to extend to not naming emergencies. Guess any sort of commentary or even score updates is unlikely. Unless we have someone "up a tree" overlooking Kardinia
Suggestion from left field (well over the border!!) bring in Sam Ramsay to play on (run with) Ablett and lock down defender. cheers for now Adelaideblue
ps recall when Aaron Joseph ran with Ablett in a pre-season game some years ago, stuck like glue and restricted the Little Master.
ps. Yes I know.......the game has changed so much since the 1970's ! hmm...Perhaps in some ways not as much as we think, as backmen will still panic if the ball starts coming down there enough. Also Tom D K might worry a few with his height and reach.
Firstly thank you to those CSC members who regularly attend Northern Blues matches, practice games etc and then take the trouble to provide us with well considered reports/analysis of the various Carlton players. Always great to hear a "non club" view of how some of these guys are progressing.
Back to the Richmond game and our lack of key forwards. If I remember correctly, Tom DeKonning kicked something like 11 goals in a U18 match, presumably playing at full forward. It would be interesting to see how he would go there against Richmond. Perhaps given the instruction to stay close to the goal square and if he can't mark to knock it down to Eddies & Co. Some years ago (before most of your time ) John Nichols played a simmilar role against the Tigers and we went on to win the premiership. Would have been about 1972 or 1973, I was in NZ at the time. Anyway so much for nostalgia, but we haven't much to lose playing the reigning premiers, so why not try the unconventional.
Team B + A joy to be at the game !! Great team effort of playing for one another and tackling pressure. Casboults marking made big impact and supporters gave generous applause when he walked over to boundary after the game.
Sorry guys, that minus score was tongue in cheek. Just trying to make the point that Charlie's game was very poor! Happy for my scoring to be scrubbed,
About a year ago I thought Charlie's work rate was'nt good enough and suggested on another site that he could be played at CHB to learn the effort required and how backs play forwards etc. However our coaches know a lot more than I do and hopefully a bag of Charlie goals this week.
