Yep, it's not a good read.  I just don't get the likes of Callum Ferguson sitting there with a sub 40 average !  That's just not good enough for someone with his ability.  Alex Doolan should be next in line for a Test tryout depending on the batting performances in a certain 5 test series starting tomorrow.

You normally look at runs scored, centuries converted and then the percentage of the runs that came in single innings to get a measure.

Unfortunately the guys who measure the best are either in the team (Clarke) or retired (Ponting, Hussey). Phil Hughes follows.

Really need Hughes or Smith to come on. Warner is the big one that has fallen away.

Malo was right about Ferguson - what happened? He was such a talent. Peter Forrest was another who had the world at his feet.
