The Sports Desk / Re: NRL Grand Final.
I would be a bit interested but there's a Seinfeld marathon on TV.

Though the one thing that stands out to me about the NRL GF is how many actual fans attend. Take note AFL.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Pass-mark for 2014
The kangaroos are an interesting prospect. Two of their best players are nearing the end but as a whole they were competitive with the best sides this year. Certainly beat better quality opposition than we did. We were very lucky not to get rolled by them.

Just on the goalkicking. Was reading on TC that one of the possible reasons for our terrible accuracy is the post height at visy park. The afl changed the height of the posts at all venues and visy park still has the old format. Surely this needs to be changed .

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: The CSC Music Appreciation Thread
The me and the neighbours are currently enjoying a vinyl blasting of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.  ;D ;D

Watched a rock special today on the teev about Tommy. Class act. All class. And could ring-bark a tree at 50 paces with those choppers...

Unbelievable musician. Even more unbelievable when you take into account whats on offer today on the mainstream music scene. Farking class.

The ultimate pass mark would be a flag. I've never been able to celebrate one properly. Last time we were premiers I was about 14.  :(

Imagine if we won one these days.  :D

Robert Heatley Stand / Pass-mark for 2014
- Beat Essendon twice

- Beat all the other sides we should (Saints, Bulldogs)

- Close the gap between our best and worst

- Improved goal kicking.

- And finishing 5-8 would be a pass for mine. We're not premiership material nor top four material but to make 5-8 of our own accord would be grouse.

Yours?

Anyone hitting the Big Day Out next year?

I went earlier this year especially to see the Chili Peppers (lucky enough to have seen them twice now). craphouse thing about it was that I'd spent all day in the booze cage due to there being a whole host of acts I'd never heard of, so was on the piss from about 12 midday til night time when I got myself a great spot near the front of the pit, only for me needing to piss about 10 minutes before showtime. Others around urged me to just piss in the pit....couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe I wasn't plastered enough?  ;D Ended up going to the pisser then getting a less than perfect spot.

Might time it a bit better for Pearl Jam and Blur next year at Big Day Out.  ;D

Blah-Blah Bar / Re: Politics aside, who would you prefer to have a few beers with?
I'm with Baggers, would have a few with one of the decent looking sheilas in parliament. Other than that, Bob Hawke without a doubt, the bloke can put it away  :D

You're back Gozza   :)

Hiya DJC.  :))

On another note, there should be a topic/poll on who you'd like to meet outside a pub for a 'dance' on Saturday night.  ;D
