I reckon we may have killed a coach today...
But let's talk about us.

How good a combination was Kreuzer and Cripps today?
C Curnow great...Ed too.
Lamb significant. ;)
Thomas solid as he has been most of the year.
Lang a good start

I reckon we've done a pretty good job of finishing off our own coach in the first 8 weeks.

Thank goodness this is a written word forum coz I'm hoarse as ^-^

Not pretty but we did enough for 4q.
Loved the glimpses of our future. Our kids could have faded but they dug deep against the drug cheats. So proud. I hope our 68 champions had a hoot witnessing that gutsy performance.

As others said, we had a well matched team. Thankyou MC.
Well managed by coaching staff. Loved Bolts coaching from the bench.

Time for a celebratory tipple  ^-^

The Kreuzer, Cripps, E. Curnow triple threat in the middle won us the game.....Essendon and Worsfold are woeful, they lack leadership and fighting spirit.
Kudos to a couple of besieged players today...OShea played his best game, Lamb broke Goddard mentally, and Matty Wright who has been down had some big touches at important times....Thomas continues to find the footy and fill in for Docherty..

I'll shed a tear when Kreuzer walks off in his final game for our club.

What a warrior.

I don't think so...he was under a bit pressure but he was never going anywhere this year.
Look.... this is the result he needed but the expectations will always be that he builds on this .
That's what AFL coaching is all about.
Not even Supercoaches are immune to losing seasons

There seems to be a few around who think otherwise.

Just want to mention SPS...there was a moment early in the game where he didn't go hard enough and actually backed away from the contact. I thought at the time it was a poor effort. Lyon got stuck in to him and rightly so I thought, but I watched him after that and he went head down into the contests I saw.
As long as he learns from that, and I'm sure the coaches will highlight it, it's going to be fine.

Saw the same moment and said to Mrs Hanwell that he needed to rectify that asap, happy to report that every contest after that he went in head first and won probably 80% of them.
Have a feeling that that game might be our plateau moment. That the youngens were very much leading the way to the contest, and we were able to dominate a desperate team, I reckon that game will be looked back on as the moment the lights were turned on.....
I was there, Blight missed!!!
