Everybody off the Smedts bandwagon?

For me, one of the wheels fell off last week, but the other three are still intact, for now.

I say the above with mixed feelings, because we had so many down players last week that it's unfair to pot him over about 16 or 17 others.

Sumner and Sheehan lucky to be picked ..form last week was just average IMO...

I agree about Sumner but Sheehan's form has been consistent prior to last week.
“Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?”  Oddball

Maybe one of the best of a bad lot but you wouldnt pick him on last weeks form IMO...Sumner was woeful...
I guess though Sheehan deserves a chance to show his wares as I would expect him to be one of the players delisted at seasons end if nothing changes...

Is there a Smedts bandwagon?  :o  >:D

Oh I am very happy with those that were omitted, they showed nowhere near enough to deserve another run.
You want people who are desperate to grasp the chance they are given, regardless of skill they show a fierce determination to succeed. I didn't see it from any of those omitted or 'managed' last week.

Pity about Ed, I think White just might have a go at his tagging role

Except Ed, I picked all those outs plus Graham but thought to myself  they wouldnt make all the changes because its too many. We all call for a cull after a bad performance, lets see how it works out for us.

Good luck to Ciaran Sheehan,  I thought Buckley might have got a run before Sumner.
Realistically I don't fancy our chances but hope springs eternal
The only thing in this world worth more than a hill of beans is the Carlton Football Club.

Looks like boekhorst may have played his last match.

I'm not surprised to see Sumner and sheehan in.

Time to find out whether we persist or delist.

Expect a few players who don't deserve a match to get games from here.

The efforts of Boekhorst, Pickett and Smedts were deplorable on Sunday. BB is gone, Smedts being drafted was an error I think, Pickett needs to change his attitude and work a hell of alot harder on and off the field or he will be shown the door quicker than he was drafted in. SPS is showing signs of a long first year for a pretty slightly built kid, he needs time and another PS or two before he hits his straps.

A lot of changes from us, considering we were not thrashed. I like Sheahan, but I thought last week was probably the least effective game I'd seen from him. It made me question his lace on the list, he looked so slow. For that matter, Sumner was an invisible man last week and he got a nod.
Similarly, our emergencies played poorly last week to a man.

I hate seeing Eddie playing for Adelaide. It is just wrong, even with him playing very well.
Laird has played brilliantly against us the last couple of times. We'd better squash him.

Back line is too tall and not nimble enough need one more small a Tuohy would have been nice. Good luck to Sheehan.

That half forward line is below average

that forward line is too young

I am not feeling good about this

My feeling is that we will be serious roadkill for a team that plays footy the right way.

On paper we look like we'll struggle but I'm hoping we come back with all guns blazing to make up for last week.  8)

Good point about Buckley...thought he was better than both Sumner and Sheehan last week...not looking good for his future..
