Jones running hard and presenting...good grab! He can do nothing for the rest of the quarter and still match Watsons output.

I know the mids must put pressure on but is there any danger that some time this century, a Carlton defender can watch the ball come in instead of watching his opponent non stop?

I think White and Rowe have been pretty good considering what they are up against tonight.

I think all the boys are clearly outmatched in terms of talent, but at least they are having a crack.

Great chase, tackle and resulting free kick from Jones. Need more efforts like that from all the boys.

Daisy peppering the sticks and starting to get his radar in order. 2nd goal.

Good lead and grab from Jones. Showed more desperation in that 1 piece of play than Watson has in his career!

Still can't kick though....but we know that.

Pumped them in both 2009 and 2010. Kruddler, wrong again! You're hopeless!

Only thing you got right was they have never beat them at Etihad.

You're so desperate to be right that you're getting off in the corner every time Jones gets a touch.

Depends who 'we' is.

Back pocket role is one of the toughest to play IMO. Imagine having to play on Stevie J one week, Rioli the next, then Eddie...each and every week!
I think he does ok.

At least thomas is doing something.

If he'd had the blokes around him that he thought he was going to have (when arriving at the CFC), he'd have been the icing, but now he is going to have to earn his cookies... and we should give him that chance. It's a long season ahead of us, not in terms of ladder but in terms of people. I hope Daisy sees that he has a chance to influence our club beyond his on field stuff.

No, if he wants high contact, don't bother trying to tackle him in a normal way, just swing your arm straight across his head....hard.

He's going to get a free kick anyway....make him earn it. With a bit of luck, you'll knock him out.

I'd happily see one of our team sit on the sidelines for a couple of weeks to teach him a lesson about high frees.

I've had to adjust my thinking and accept that Carlton get shafted every week by the umps, or I would go nuts worrying about the bias.

Geelong have been getting a very good ride from the ums for a while now. I'm sure there are a couple of 'pet' clubs for umpires and Geelong are 1 of them.

I didn't say he was perfect, but by far not our worst. I've seen some turn overs and stupid kicks. One from 2E out of the goal square kicking the ball back into play was a classic. Spoiled straight back next to the point post. Criminal. Curnow has kept Selwood quiet which I am happy with. The rest just isn't that entertaining at all. Sloppy crap footy.

Having to play tonight permanent forward with our delivery you are going to stink it up.

We are the leading Clearance and stoppage team in the comp, believe it or not, much due to the good ruck work of Wood and Casboult. So what do we do, we ruck Warnock ,most of the night.

we are a sh1te football team
sh1te board, pres, sh1te coach and players that play for pay only.
they get on well with the coach, beacause they're 2 sides of the same coin
play for pay

Having to play tonight permanent forward with our delivery you are going to stink it up.

We are the leading Clearance and stoppage team in the comp, believe it or not, much due to the good ruck work of Wood and Casboult. So what do we do, we ruck Warnock ,most of the night.

Gotta love logic

Coach is a joke.

Unfortunately history will probably say we ruined him, when the truth is we exposed the myth.

History will show that 5 premierships that were won by 2 separate coaches we 'exposed'. Do you understand how stupid you blokes sound when you continue to spout such BS?

WE are the joke.
The myth is that we are not a joke.

Painful.

I'm not as upset with MM as some of you are, but it has to end tonight.  Please.

Our problem is our weak playing list and it's been ten years in the making, Malthouse has been at the club for two.

That's very true.  Our list is not at all MM's fault.  But he hasn't helped.  He lost our entire forward line.

Sickening to watch. At least this allows us to move the club from depression to acceptance.

Wood has given me something to smile about. Showing some passion and intent. Its a shame more of our guys don't try the same. Who gives the 100m penalty. ;)

I am really starting to get worried about Daisy. I know he tries hard, but nothing positive is coming from him at all. $750,000 a year not well spent at all. I should give him a chance, but at the moment I am fed up with a few players.

Free agency lost Betts and Waite.
Malthouse brought Docherty, Everitt, Wood and Thomas to the club in his first season, this year's recruits have been less impressive but it's probably a draw for Mick so far.
Most of the hacks out there tonight were at the club when he arrived, if we give him some time he'll dispose of them one by one.

Mate, how can anyone get a possession when opposition are allowed to grab you before you get to the ball?

Judd's problem is he is too fair, he needs to be a dog like Hodge or Selwood!

I've never said Malthouse does not deserve his share of the responsibility.

My thing is that there are much bigger fish to fry. Even IF Mick is responsible for everything that has gone wrong since he walked through the door. That doesn't explain our poor development for the last decade. That doesn't explain our list management strategies that has allowed us to have next to no depth in KP areas. That doesn't explain our poor board performance and lack of cohesion across the club.

The sooner people like you realise that Mick is not the #1 problem with our club, the quicker you'll realise how well and truly screwed our club actually is.

Yes, Mick will get the sack.
Yes, many will rejoice and sing Ding dong the witch is dead.
Yes, there will be a short lived improvement in our efforts.
No, that does not actually solve any of our problems.

Umpiring is crap tonight. Late whistles, missed frees. The 50 against Yarren was vindictive,  the free against armfield was in the back. The throwins have also been garbage, often falling short.

It's a good start. What problems we did have have increased 20 fold.

We had something, not perfect but something decent to build off when you come 5th, and within 3 years now we have nothing and on the bottom.

Not that you would ever admit you're wrong. Ego couldn't cope. Come on, you can do it wr, wr, wr, wr......

Injury has cruelled him I fear and we've been stooged I think.

The guy was a **** his whole career and we stuck a Carlton track suit on him and called him a god.

Truth is he's a **** who had more help than any other coach in the history of the game at the most powerful clubs and still only managed 3 flags in 30+ years.

crap bloke hired by a crap board.

I defy anyone to win an AFL match when your key forward options are Casboult, Jones and Watson.
If we delisted the three of them they'd all be playing in the suburban leagues next year.

I defy anyone with a self indulgent 62 year old ****, who's had his arse covered his whole career.
