I think it will be tough work vs GC...we ran out of gas vs Nth and GC are very young and quick.

re: Ablett...I'd play Cachia on him for the experience, a scalp like Abletts and Cachia becomes a better than average tagger.

Thry, you are forgetting, we may get in at Essendon's expense.   :P

Not really, i just want to finish above richmond and/or collingwood.

I also would love to give Richmond fans heaps if the one time the play finals is due to the bombers falling on their own sword.

Cant lose either way really as there will be someone to give heaps to just so long as its not us.

Roughead got off for a similar thing against the blues a few weeks back.

Saw Ablett v. the Pies - wow! We'll need landmines to stop him based on that performance.
Reality always wins in the end.

Collingwood paid him no respect, pretty sure they let him get over 50 touches last year.

Gold Coast are coming with a hurry. Remember in past years the younger players tired about this time of the year so it's noticeable that they're still in the game now.

Ablett as good as he is - is not the main reason they're now a threat. Remember he had 50+ possessions last year against Collingwood and the Pies won by 90 points. It's the other players around him that are lifting and that combined with his brilliance is surging them forward.

Carlton needs to turn up and treat them like any other team (pretend you're playing Hawthorn) because we will get done if we turn up without that intensity.

The reserves side on Saturday produced a number of good players who will be considered for this week. Our belief is we probably have five or six players from that game who can come into our side, if need be, and freshen it up. We’re at the stage now where we need to re-examine playing on a bigger ground, in different conditions, against a side that has a lot of enthusiasm.

Interesting comment that he sees 5-6 players that could potentially coming in.  Doubt we'd see that many but good to see that he is willing to put it out there to give those in the team more pressure to perform  ;)

Thought Robbo did enough, MM also mentioned White in the presser after the game suggests that maybe he wasn't overly impressed with Macinnes on Friday.  So at this stage those are the only two ins I can think of.  And no Joseph does not come in, the day he is back n the side is the day we have officially gone backwards.
Excuses year 1, blame year 2, contract extention year 3........

Mick said in his presser he doesn't want to push andy mac too far because he's coming off his knee and obviously didn't have full preseason. Never stated he wasn't impressed. White was mentioned as a replacement to give Andy a rest.
