(I really hate repeating this – I hated writing it in the first place.)[4] The average vote this week was 24, which is ordinary. Good wins get scores above 30.[5] 5 players scored more than 100 votes. That is normally a good sign, but at the moment it only shows that we don’t have enough winners. Again![6] Adam Cerra scored his second BOG for the year with 335 votes. That normally is a match winning effort. But this week Cerra’s game just wasn’t that good. It was just a lot better than his teammates.[7] 3 players scored votes from all voters. The normal spread just wasn’t there.[8] Brodie Kemp was the youngster to make his mark this week. However, with injuries to Pittonet and de Koning, it makes the future look problematical.Trends:[1] There were 12 voters this week, a considerable improvement over recent games.Even so, please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum.[2] The rating was a 9.72, which is just above an A-, the second highest for the year. It is really nice to write that, I’ll tell you.[3] 18 players managed a mention this week, a considerable improvement on our recent form. It shows how just about everyone had a really solid contribution.[4] The average vote this week was 32, which equals the season high. Another indication of a strong performance.[5] 6 players managed 100 votes or more this week, which is phenomenal! It shows we had a lot of dominant players, not just one or two.[6] Adam Cerra managed his 4th BOG for the season. He scored 373 votes. Doc was 2nd, followed by Weitering and Cripps.[7] Only one player, Cerra, managed votes from all of the voters. It was hard to reward everyone who deserved a mention. Docherty, Kemp and Walsh missed by one voter.[8] Of our youngsters, Kemp stood out with what might be his best game yet. He managed over 100 votes. Cincotta was not as dominant, but he was worth his place.[9] This week our mids were much more influential than they have been. Most of them garnered votes, but our defenders also stood out. Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 Reply #26 – August 27, 2023, 09:48:36 am AFL Rd 22: Carlton vs MelbourneThe first time we've beaten Melbourne in a long time, and a hard contest for the night. We really deserved this one.Trends:[1] There were 11 voters this week, which is a little disappointing for a such an important win. This round last year we had 16 voters, even though we failed. Please do take the time to vote: it makes our statistics a lot more reliable and, more importantly, it shows how active we are on the forum.[2] The rating was a 10.09, which is an A. We've managed a consistency of score in this area like none other I can remember. It is great.[3] 17 players managed a mention again this week, which shows just how we've played for the last 8 weeks. Just about everyone had a really solid contribution. Since I've been doing this we've never been this consistent all over the board as we've been these last 8 rounds.[4] The average vote this week was 33. The best run I can remember in this area.[5] 4 players managed 100 votes or more this week. [6] Patrick Cripps managed 307 votes to be BOG this week, followed by Newman and Hewett. This was Cripps' 1st BOG for the year, although it was his 10th time in the top 4. Nic newman has been in the top 4 8 times this year. [7] 3 players, Cripps, Hewett and Newman, got votes from everyone this week. The rest of the votes were well spread. [8] Our youngsters continued to make an impression, an excellent sig moving forwards. Kemp and Cincotta managed votes.[9] There was no one area of dominance this week, but all areas really made a contribution.Votes:Cripps, Patrick 307Newman, Nicholas 284Hewett, George 243Acres, Blake 133Kemp, Brodie 87Saad, Adam 78Weitering, Jacob 64Docherty, Sam 60Dow, Patrick 55Martin, Jack 50de Koning, Tom 41Curnow, Charles 37Owies, Matthew 23Cincotta, Alex 23Fisher, Zac 14Marchbank, Caleb 9Fogarty, Lachlan 5Progressive Votes:2830 - Cerra, Adam (0)2679 - Curnow, Charles (0)2520 - Newman, Nicholas (0)2202 - Cripps, Patrick (0)2137 - Docherty, Sam (0)1923 - Weitering, Jacob (0)1763 - Walsh, Sam (0)1387 - Acres, Blake (0)1008 - McKay, Harrison (0)902 - Hewett, George (0)809 - Silvagni, Jack (0)775 - McGovern, Mitchell (0)752 - Saad, Adam (0)751 - de Koning, Tom (0)563 - Kemp, Brodie (0)504 - Young, Lewis (0)457 - Kennedy, Matthew (0)381 - Curnow, Edward (0)333 - Owies, Matthew (0)320 - Pittonet, Marc (0)313 - Motlop, Jesse (0)313 - Cottrell, Matthew (0)306 - Hollands, Oliver (0)300 - Martin, Jack (0)218 - Cincotta, Alex (0)177 - Fisher, Zac (0)146 - Dow, Patrick (0)67 - Durdin, Corey (0)53 - Cuningham, David (0)39 - Boyd, Jordan (0)38 - Fogarty, Lachlan (0)10 - Marchbank, Caleb (0)It is getting pretty close at the top. Charlie Curnow and Cerra are now neck and neck, due to Cerra's injury and Charlie's good recent form. But the closing pack is closing fast; we've had a lot of players doing well in recent times. It will go down to the wire this year! Quote Selected

Re: Jim Park Analysis 2023 Reply #28 – September 04, 2023, 08:35:24 pm Sorry, I'm a bit slow at the moment. I stuffed up the spreadsheet and had to reconstruct a fair bit of the data. I've got it under control now, at least until I find the next glitch. I should have the GWS game up by Wednesday at the latest. Quote Selected
