Robert Heatley Stand / Re: VFL 2024 Rd 2: Carlton vs North Melbourne at Arden St
Last post by crashlander -Good to see Cincotta play so well in the midfield. He might stay there, as there isn't a lot of midfield talent in the 2's at the moment. 5 tackles and 6 clearances says he did the job.
One of Kemp or Young comes up next week to replace ... guess who? Honestly, Marchbank is so injury prone. After this he has to come back via the VFL; he looked really short of a gallop, even though he did a decent job.
I am disappointed to see O'Keefe do so little, but how was he going to displace Pitto on that performance? Still, we need a lot of work in the 2's.

Last post by northernblue -About two would be nice - Campo boys coming through I suppose but in this game we had no mid controlling the gameIn ordinary business we would have Walsh in the seniors which would leave Carrol or Kennedy in the VFL.

Last post by northernblue -Yes, for a certain type of player.
Kemp could play on a wider variety of players and do better on some players compared to marchbank.
If your contention is true and he was brought in for a specific player, fair enough....but with no exposed match form to go by, I wouldn't have risked it.
I can't help but think there is something we don't know about with Kemp. He seems to be first one dropped and it can't be just about form.
I think you’re correct about him being the first dropped, however I’ve no idea why…

Last post by bratblue -I thought Elijah Hollands had a pretty solid first hit out. He had 22 touches, 6 marks, 5 tackles, 2 clearances and a goal. I liked it.
It was nice to see double dutch out there.

Last post by Thryleon -“Maybe”No that's my opinion. I think marchbank is better one on one than Kemp, whilst Kemp is better zoning off.
Or maybe perceived to be.
Thats my opinion. You might disagree with it but thats that.

Last post by pinot -How many young mids do you want in the 2’s and though I’m reluctant to ask, who should be gone (mid season mind you…) to create room for these potential Brownlow medalists ?
Asking for a friend…

Last post by northernblue -Got quite a few on the team already.Kinda my point…
Considering we do have some blokes who would be getting a game of fit, you might have heard of them...
Sam Walsh
Sam Docherty
Jack Martin
Oh and next year we'll have 2 camporeales to add to Billy Wilson, jaxon binns and an injured Matt Carroll. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple as well.
Though waiting for who gets booted…
