Look, there is a huge slippery slope we can open up here.
A serial killer probably has a few things wrong with his brain too. Doesn't mean i have any sympathy for him though.
It's not about sympathy but rather understanding and compassion, for all involved. You can have compassion for an offender but that doesn't mean tolerance. Believe me, I have no 'sympathy' for offenders. I'd probably go much harder than the courts on offenders, i.e. plenty of jail time - the community must be protected from iced-up people, they're a serious danger to everyone around them. I just wish our prisons & jails weren't revolving doors.
Not the first person to have their life ruined by ice....
What a sad, sorry tale. Yes, ice ruins brains but sadly the person with the Fckd up brain usually fcks up others before themselves. Sorry, but this bloke must be incarcerated long term to protect the community and him.
If only our prison system wasn't a revolving door... he'll meet other crims and cycle will likely continue. But that's a whole separate subject.
Is it just me or does others notice that Obrien is tracking along nicely and considering the midfield he has found himself in, he has delivered a very decent first year. Dow gets the credit but this kid is tracking very well in Dows shadow.
I know he has a long way to go but he hits a target by foot as good as any of our kids, in fact Im more comfortable with the ball in this kids hand then many of our senior guys.
Plus his fitness is amazing for a first year player. The kid runs and runs and is one of the few that finds space late in games.
He doesn't have the tricks of Dow but im confident this kid will make it.
For a kid thrown in at the deep end and not given the opportunity to learn and hone his craft in the Magoos, I reckon he's improved as the year has progressed and no doubt learned a lot from some of the cats he's played on. There have been sufficient glimpses from him to indicate a great attitude, endeavour and attack on the aggot. The kid can run all day and I'm in the optimistic camp with this young fella.
MBB, who do you reckon were the chief offenders re losing? (For me, Murphy & Lang)
Who do you reckon kept us in the game, even looking like we could win, and will be our hope for the 2019 and beyond? (For me, Charlie, H, Bunsen, Crippa, Dow, O'Brien)
NB's having a good run. Good to see Hill get some touches. Gee how consistent, at least in terms of his numbers, is Fisher. I hope they've got a close eye on him for a Rookie spot. Wouldn't want to let that fish get away now would we?. I'll show myself out.
Graham and Kerridge can both play in the midfield, not very well admittedly, and Pickett struggles to get a kick but is quick. So with those three out we pick Mullett, Weitering and an up and coming ruckman in his first game. It's a very slow side.
3 smalls out for two talls and a mullet.
SOS is making sure we lose this one to lock away the 1st pick.
Don't worry, SOS, pick 1 is just about assured. Okay SOS what were you doing to the players in the rooms at half time? Cue Rocky (the Bugs Bunny runt gangster), "I don't know how yews done it but I's know yews done it!!!" I wonder if SOS's middle name is, Sherman?
Funny how when we play sides we should beat we have a quarter or half of diabolical footy to ensure a loss but for the remainder of the game we actually look pretty good.
BB filthy on the 3rd qtr capitulation
On a serious note... (F flat?) ...really good/promising stuff from SPS, H, Charlie, Dowow & Casey.
Sterling efforts also from Cripps, Simmo, Daisy, Lobbe and Rowe.
Lamb is holding is own down back.
Kerridge should be banned from kicking. Murphy was pretty good at giving it back to the opposition as well. Why exactly did we get Lang and Pickett again?
