Kerridge, Sumner, Everitt, Walker very ordinary all round. Thomas and Wright decent but nothing special. Casboult - blah, Kruezer - yawn and Philips decent. They all seem to want to fly at the same ball, there is no forward structure, no separation, no football IQ.
Agree not good enough and we need better players.
But we still have a weak group of youngsters coming through so we need to keep going to the draft.
Having said that.....when Charlie and McKay are fit they should play
Jack is very smart player for an 18 year old.. a few more games and a pre season under his belt will do him the world of good getting confidence to take on more responsibility.
My personal opinion is if Lamb and Sumner play in VFL their output wouldnt be more than DVR and Graham.. acttually Sumners output would not come close to Graham he is not productive enough. DVR has some weapons and need to bed youngsters in AFL when they reach 20-21
chat with a mate that watched the game he said glass-mcasker is a really good defender and best player for NB i didnt watch the game and other than one or two posters no one has really given him a wrap just want to know if he really did play that well?
Amazing clearance player but no defensive spread whatsoever and lacks run from a contest and as a result rarely hurts the opposition this year on the outside...seemed better in this area last year.
Maybe his knee is restricting him....coming off a bye I was hoping to see him at least spread and show some outside run but nothing.
Many including me thought he was shaping up as a genuine A grader
but IMO needs massive improvement in this area to get to that level.
Still love watching him in close but.
My thoughts are Crippa needs support.. its just Gibbs and Cripps in the middle and they need to both play at elite level every week so we can be competitive the rotation through the middle are average or sub standard. Curnow does a good honest job every week but...
Kerridge, Sumner, Lamb rotating through the middle probably not good enough quality to give Gibbs and Cripps a chop out
