Wishing our boys all the best for tomorrow. It's been a while since we've had some finals fun.

We have a ruck this week. Nice.
Maher and Handley out of the team is a big loss. Hope their injuries is not serious if we progress because we will need them.

Yes, young Cripps played his best game of the season last week but there’s no way that he could keep Mirkov out of the team.

I reckon that we’ve cobbled together a half decent team and it’s to our advantage that Brisbane are still alive in the firsts.  Quietly confident 🙂

As for young Josh, last week’s effort may see him played more as a ruck/forward than as key forward.  That may be his best chance of playing footy at the highest level.

Luckily for us it sounds like the Lions will put some of their rucks in cotton wool, their VFL side is normally over-loaded with blokes over 205cm x 110kg.

Terrible conditions. Very wet under foot. BrisVegas favoured by the wind in the first.

Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

A major negative for our club is that we seem to have not adjusted to the conditions very well thus far.  Trying to hit targets with precise kicking in blustery conditions.  They should be playing surge football.

Couldn't agree more. BrisVegas are surging hence their early lead. Gotta get it into our heads to knock forward, kick off the deck and others up-field ready for this kind of approach.

Yes and no.

Inch the ball up by hand or by foot achieves the same result.
If you do it by hand, and you miss a target, 1 kick the other way is equivalent to 10 handballs into the wind.
Do it by foot and you have more chance of missing, but less targets required to make the same distance.

I think we've just been unlucky deep forward. Shots on goal are missing everything.

Two bad umpiring decisions in a row gifted BrisVegas their 3rd goal. One of their blokes (in their foward line) took on the tackler and was pinned - ball up, should have been holding the ball. Then almost immediately after it one of their blokes ducks into a tackle and is awarded a free. Amateur hour stuff.

Mirkov needed to compete when they got there second goal and then tap it forward on the ground instead of trying to pick it up.
