The media must be screwing good to find people who think this because I haven't met one person who does.

You can fool some of the people some of the time.......................................

Too think that there are still people who think Corby is innocent.

TBH I don't care if she's innocent or not. What she did or allegedly did and the same with this joker is a nothing crime in the grand scheme of things. And I don't entertain the crap about other countries laws versus our own when the stakes are so ridiculously low. These cases blatantly show that the Indonesian authorities relish the opportunity to exploit these laws at every opportunity against westerners, yet anyone who's strolled through Kuta's streets day or night can tell tales of being offered "hashish" or "marijuana" as regularly as girls are offered to have their hair braided. Conveniently the local law enforcement do not have task forces that try to remove this element, nor do they appear to be concerned with bars selling arak, a methanol based spirit that has claimed lives and cause severe illness in many western travellers.

Remember this guy

Quote
Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim country so there should be no surprise at the slap on the wrist for radical Islamist cleric Bashir, who sanctioned the Bali nightclub massacre, which killed more then 200 people. The lenient sentence provoked outrage in Australia and the United States.

The photos of the smiling defendants should be a broad clue to the West that many Indonesian legal and justice officials are openly sympathetic to the Islamist agenda of the defendants and that the victims of the terrorist atrocities could not have expected that Muslims would sentence fellow Muslims to appease 'infidel' Westerners.

The question is as to how long until Bashir will be considered for release, as is the case of bomber Ali Imron, whose lawyer requested Indonesia's president pardon him on the grounds that 'he had shown remorse' and his cooperation with the investigation "had been a big help to Indonesia".

The corruption is so rampant that it was even documented in a Jakarta News article entitled: Indonesia Mentally ill".

The mental illness metaphor aptly characterises the schizophrenic mindset of Muslims, who harbor sympathy for the terrorists as co religionist, and balk when, under pressure from the West, they, are expected mete out justice in accordance with the Western concept of a 'rule of law'. The camaraderie of Indonesia's law enforcement officials with convicted terrorists is the best indication of where the country's true loyalties lie.
