How does McKay drop that?

Out of form due to injuries!

Hopefully he can find form throughout the game.

I'm a fan of SPS, and he had the right idea, but that is strike 1 against him.

....and then Saad does the same thing!

Well you keep track of him, and you point how much good he does and report back.

Ive seen him refuse to put his body in, act like he was going to tackle and not chase hard....all in the space of 10 seconds on the far wing earlier.

Instead he lets Lynch walk around him and get a kick away under no pressure.

This club is going nowhere when we're still gifting games to the like of SPS and Liam Jones. Especially the later. Why he thinks he's a good kick is beyond me. He should be told to give it to someone else or kick long to a contest.

Those two kicks of his coming out defence is just soul destroying. He does something half decent by intercepting but then two seconds later screws it up. Such a dickhead!

Very rarely plays a bad game.

Rarely makes such an obvious offensive impact.

Beaten dusty the last 3 contests they've had. Then goes up and kicks his own.

I expect the tigers to get a rev up and smack us from here.

I expect us to tire and make stupid decisions due to fatigue.

I expect this to be a 'close, but not good enough' game that we seem to have against the tigers every year.

I'd like to see something different.

I'd like to see LOB win us the game. Don't think he's had a touch since half time, at most 1.
I'd like to see Harry take a mark. Stop. Go back and kick a drop punt at goal!
I'd like to see SPS play hard, uncompromising footy and kick 50m to our advantage, not short kicks, that fall short.
I'd like to see to see us get a few 50-50 free kicks go our way.
I'd like to see a win.

Not sure when Silvagni hurt himself but well before he was subbed off he was heading back towards goal and I thought his arm looked to be hanging strange. If he did that run and chase after being injured it was even more impressive. Showed a bit of toe we don't normally see from him.

He's lost confidence in his kicking since he did his groin a couple years ago.

Ever since then, he snaps 50% of his shots on goal rather than drop punt.

That goal right there sums up these 2 sides.

When the game is on the line, they stand up....and we fall over.

We had our chances though. Kick straight and we could have won. Fogarty, Dow, Walsh, McKay should have kicked 4+.

The big problem is between the ears with our blokes.

No belief which leads to panicking and other bad decision making.

As a supporter, we need to keep our expectations in check. It was always going to happen. Doesn't mean the season is a write off. We are simply not in the same class as the Tigers yet.....and it hurts.

2 or 3 junk time goals flattered the Tigers. That was a 2 goal game IMO. I can see improvement compared to this time last year, no doubt.

Plenty of chances to win that but we stuffed at at vital moments. When we're in a position to win I want to be winning those games now, not stuffing them up. Less that 5 min to go Dow should've put us in front. Too many chances pissed down the drain. Margin though did the game no justice.

How come Jones got the deliberate but Nankervis didn’t? That was a 12 point mistake.

Fly over casboult, no free.  Walsh flies, in the back free to them.

Tigers are arrogant little craps and I look forward to them imploding, hopefully soon.

A few players also need to look at their attack on the footy... Setterfield put the brakes on when he should have gone harder and Reiwoldt let him know... Needs to watch Walsh and see what's required.
LOB and Dow just make mistakes at the wrong time... Jones and Docherty were wobbly down back.

I totally disagree. The whole club seems to accept that we'll be beaten by them. We could have won tonight quite easily if we'd had the self belief.

We had the team to beat them even with 10 injuries.

Totally agree Paul ... with a full side, we would / could have pinched it.  I saw a lot of fight out there.

No. Nobody accepts that we'll be beaten by them out there. They tried their butts off...I knew they would. The difference is they are a great side and do what's required to win the game. They do it all the time.

We can give ourselves a pat on the back and an encouragement award, but reality is they are just better than us.

True words. A lot of teams have been beaten by the tigers the last 4 years. Just our bad luck we play them in the first round.

Not quite 12 points - Rioli missed.
