Hope we go on with the game now rather than shut up shop and just win by 25 to 30, as Carlton would do in days gone by.

Exactly what I was thinking. We have been scarred over the past coupla decades and can be forgiven for waiting for the bad qtr that lets Port back in. We need to go on with this and record a huge win. Can't remember the last time we had our foot on an oppositions throat... and kept it there. 80pt win would be acceptable.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

He's just solid ... and it's obvious
Yes, people do not respect the physicality of the ruck, that is why you need seasoned bodies to compete for 4-qtrs. TDK, Mirkov will be bit players for another 2 or 3 seasons. I think to be a finals threat we need one extra mature body, perhaps a 6 to 10 game a year type player.

You look at Nthmond, Nankervis most weeks, Soldo others, the bit players get to fill in the gaps. It makes a huge difference having two heavy seasoned bodies.

Actually, I hope we don't run ourselves into the ground, we've the Freo road trip with only a 6 day break.

We need to win this with control and then try to steal one on those big road trips. Be professional about it, a bit like Melbourne Storm. We can play goal for goal for the next 1/2, we do not have to smash ourselves physically.

Aliir Aliir is one out, he can't keep bouncing back and forth between McKay, SoJ and Charlie, all we have to do is be smart with our ball use, and then spot up Owies, Durdin and Fisher on the odd occasion as they are all getting off the hook forward of the ball.

I would like to see Martin play out the game and not fade.

Quite surprising the score line, because we were far from clean!

I think Curnow has been a bit fumbly this afternoon.
He's missed a fair bit of football and will get better with a few more games under his belt. ;D
