Past players in the news

Former Blue, now Richmond AFLW player, Jess Hosking, is in the news for the wrong reasons; she has been charged with allegedly driving a jet-ski while under the influence of alcohol on a trip to Queensland.

It’s only a very brief report in the Age online but the phrase “former Carlton AFLW player” doesn’t appear  :)

“Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?”  Oddball

I looked for the same thing. In fariness, writers were probably too stupid to realise that she did play for Carlton once upon a time.  :P

This is the 2nd time she's been in trouble.

She had "smash b!tches" and "Kill b!tches" written on her shoulder strapping in consecutive weeks that was picked up by the cameras and highlighted.

But they are aware of it now!  :D

When Jess played with the "Kill Bitches" stuff, maybe she meant herself on a Jetski?

btw., jokes aside, I was talking to person yesterday about just how pegged down the big news sites have readers. They published context sensitive news, a bit like Facebook. If they have you pegged as a Carlton supporter the article will format as "Carlton .......... ", if you are pegged as Nthmond it will be "Nthmond ............ ". If you are neither they do what is called A / B testing, and randomly select one variant or the other to work out which one rates higher.

It all works off trackers, cookies, big databases, etc., etc. You can sometimes expose websites and organisations using this tactic by browsing anonymously and you might find you get a different feed.

So the bubbles that the likes of Trump Nuffies live in really do exist! :o
