Weather is a tough read at the moment, forecast is changing rapidly but it now looks like the worst will pass by late afternoon.

We need every ticketed Bluebagger to turn up loud and enthusiastic, it's conditions like that when a big pro-Bagger crowd can make a difference, just ask Harmes and Sheldon!

Rain Hail or Snow, been waiting too long for this to let a bit of weather keep me away. Go Baggers.

So it's confirmed, Pitto will play this week, https://www.sen.com.au/news/2023/09/06/blues-confirm-at-least-one-change-for-elimination-final-acres-locked-in/
Looks like 4 changes with Doc, Crippa and most likely Mots also getting a gig. Good news also with Acres passing a fitness test and set to play.
I'm guessing Cincotta for Doc, Dow for Crippa, Durds for Mots, who comes out for Pitto I have no idea.
Dow to replace Marchy as sub?

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Rd 24 2023 Pre Game Prognostications Carlton vs GWS
I'd like to win this week and be assured of a home final, but the most important thing is getting our team primed for the first final -

In - Cerra, Walsh, Kennedy, McGovern, Fogarty
Out - (Omitted) Marchy, Ed.  (Rested) Hollands, Crippa, Cunners
Sub - Dow

For the first final we will need to make some hard decisions, Hollands v Cottrell, Boyd v Fish, Fog v Cunners, Sub between Kennedy and Hewy.

We are going to have a few blokes missing out that deserve a game Paddy Dow included.

If we can get a win this week then subject to other results Rnd 24 might not mean much to us, but it could be a big deal for GWS so it might a good time to give someone like Binns a run against quality opposition while we take the opportunity to freshen one or two others up before the finals.

With the Bye before the finals, would you rest guys in the last round? Is a two week break detrimental?

McGovern didnt like the heat in battle or responsibility and his contesting work was embarrassing imho....when he put in the short steps and threw half an arm out in a feeble way he should have been dragged and told some home truths. Rather play Kemp, Cowan or Cincotta at least they will give effort and try.
I feel sorry for Voss having to front the media and defend players who wont give effort.....

Like x 100. Players who don't go 100% cannot be played, Acres and Motlop are on the border there as well.

Pitto last night dominated English in the ruck taps, no good around the ground but that is a weakness we know about and should be able to handle. My issue was our mids, I was at the game and it was so frustrating watching Pitto wrestle for best position get the tap out, usually straight to his feet or in front of him only to see Bulldogs players getting to the drop before our mids, we were always behind. I'm not sure what else Pitto was supposed to do, he cant hit it over the opposition heads, our mids have to fight for best position cause even from the stands I could see where the ball was going to fall. Not sure if that's coaching, ability or desire but it was lacking all night.
