yes I think you will be right, the of lack of success in the draft 3-4 years ago have left a hole we have never filled

Yep...might get another year if we dont trade for a KP Forward but if we do I think his days are numbered as Mick seems to have him as a fall guy.

It seems that way.
He had 16 touches and kicked a couple of goals last week, Casboult had 5 touches and Henderson 7 and Hendo probably had 2 in the first half, and between them Levi and Lachie managed one point.
Three tall forwards and they drop the one who had by far the best game, unless it's an attitude thing or he told Malthouse to GAGF it just doesn't make any sense.
Waite's no superstar but we're a much better side when he's up and about.
there must be a reason , maybe age, some commitment issue, but if you had to put $ on one of Waite, Casboult , or Hendo to win you a game , even only based upon this years form, who would it be?

Not very flattering scores are they. Bring back some flare , the game these days seems to hinge on gather stats than kicking goals. Much rather the key forward mark, goals style play of the 70s & -90s. This lock them up and gather 15  processions while playing keeps off is getting very tiresome. We have taken a game that was unique and a great spectator visual, and strangled it to churn out a possies . Damn boring these days.

We'll, guess what? He's buggered by half time and for three quarters of the match Carlton has no target to kick to. Henderson is a CHB. Murphy is trying hard and I saw him digging deep in the last quarter to run with his man.

Tend to agree, reeks of desperation trying to find the right formulae. Lack of heart , pride , passion I am finding hard to tolerate. Here Gibbs is trying to "tell" us what he is worth and why we should pay over the odds for him, but what is he showing us in return. The goal attempt in from the pocket was as bad as I have seen. No energy and real commitment to actually achieving success. Didn't seem to really care , and it shows. We won the ball, but didn't use it, so comes back to the game plan and coaches. If this is MM 's plan from the Colliwobles he is trying to use, he better bring the rest of the team with him to make it work. Not rocket science different cattle , different plan, why not build a plan with what you have got? Seems we are lacking a "coaching , teaching element" to our coaching staff. Back to basics I fear us playing the Dogs , they play with pride not there supposed worth in the back of there minds
