Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Who Will You Support?
Absolutely rooting for GWS,  great for the competition a fairytale come true a young team.
Great story for the AFL at long last. Although wining 3 games in a row and to win at G against the tigers, very difficult.
But my gut feel is an upset is brewing. Go Giants

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Post Game Passion: AFL 2019 Rd 11: Carlton vs. the Drug Cheats
I think Brendon Bolton is gone unfortunately, surly there’ll be a statement  early next week by the club ?
Our situation is untenable and unacceptable. I’d have a good look a Silvagni too someone needs to be held accountable for us not having 1st pick in this year’s draft situation is ludicrous and painful. My beloved Baggers have been reduced to a rabble.

Did we really believe that Dow , O’Brien ,Walsh ,  Stocker, SPS and Fisher all small framed skinny inexperienced youngsters were going to impact players like Ziebell, Cunningham, Higgins and co.
I wasn’t expecting miracles today, as we had  critical personal injured and team balance was disrupted not an excuse but a reality.
We’ll be more competitive against the Pies, should Kreuzer, McGovern, Setterfield, perhaps Kennedy get a game.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Pre-Game Pressure: AFL 2019 Rd 6: Carlton vs Hawthorn in Launceston
This'll be a big test of coaching and player.

The Dawks won't make nearly as many mistakes as the Dishlickers did, they were their own worst enemies. Don't get me wrong, we deserved the win (who predicted a 10gl win  :P) as we applied plenty of pressure and I'd like to think that forced errors from our opponents.

The Dawks will target SPS, H and Walshy for sure (they'll try Cripps as well, but, well good luck with that). Others will have to step up.

Agree Clarkson will make sure our younger midfielders are battered about a bit ,
It’s up to Kreuzer and Cripps to hammer a few Hawks, must protect our skinny youngsters.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Round 2 - Port v Blues (Sat, March 30, 5.10pm)
We desperately in need of outside run,  Pickett , Lang and O’Brien eventually. How long will it take to get them on the Park?
Inside we’re top notch, Cripps and Kennedy are the battering rams, Walsh will be an exquisite inside midfielder , beautiful hands with great Footy IQ and Stocker a bit later exquisite kick dual sides great bust speed. Ed is our marker , stopping opponents best play maker.
As for small crumping forward we don’t have an elite simple, maybe Fasolo, Murphy and Lang all rotating midfield too, Garlett a long shot.

Rance and Astbury won't fly against Harry so height doesn't matter. They'll do what they do best, body him off line as he's preparing to jump at the ball. He needs to be leading up hard at the ball so they can't do their usual tricks

Agree with you, let’s hope Teague has been drilling it home. Harry has to use the spaces as Fasolo does he’ll be a good mentor, a specialist at the G loves a big game.

As a specialist forward especially at the G, Alex Fasolo wins hands down over Gibbons no question. Gibbons in the midfield interchangeable with Fasolo.
Also I think Garlett should play too can sparkle as a dynamic forward and he’ll be an alternate option around the ground, will the spaces a5 the G.

Highly unlikely? Perhaps, yet in Rd 1 2018 we were ahead at the 11 minute mark of the 4th quarter.

All that with a younger, less experienced team than we'll put out this week AND we lost both Kreuzer and Kennedy in the 2nd quarter.....that's unlikely to happen again.

And looking at the Tigers - no Caddy, Grigg, Castagna, Townsend and likely no Lynch. Also, from the 22 that played us last year, no C. Ellis or Conca.

Agree with you, we’re in with a sniff, I think we’ll knock off the Tigers and start the season positvely.
New rules will help our youngsters early and our reinvented forward line will do much better on the MCG.
Go Blues

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: JLT Round 2 - Blues v Pies (11 March, Monday holiday)
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/fasolo-fit-to-play-but-will-the-blues-pick-him-to-face-the-pies-20190304-p511l0.html

The bloke should play - JLT about trialling as many as possible especially the newcomers.

Fas wasn't picked up to play 2s.....

Agree if he’s ready Fasolo must play , Akex will add much needed experience to the forward line invaluable to a young side.
