Give Simmo a rest!

If Fish does come in, which seems likely, what about giving Murph a rest this week. I know he was good last week, but coming off a 5 day break? Settled backlines are important and I reckon there will be a lot more work put in to Doc this week so Simmo may need to help out more with that run and delivery from defence.

Just want to mention SPS...there was a moment early in the game where he didn't go hard enough and actually backed away from the contact. I thought at the time it was a poor effort. Lyon got stuck in to him and rightly so I thought, but I watched him after that and he went head down into the contests I saw.
As long as he learns from that, and I'm sure the coaches will highlight it, it's going to be fine.

Have seen a few comments about this and heard Lyon get stuck in as well. I went back to the replay and watched it a few times and want to give him the benefit of the doubt here. I don't reckon he was worried about the contact, I think he was trying to tap the ball to the side and spin out of trouble. I think he was trying to avoid the contact, but only so he could gather the ball and run. The Indigenous guys think a bit different sometimes, think about doing things that most other players don't even consider, that's what makes them so great to watch.
Anyway not worried about SPS at all, reckon he has got the right stuff to make it.

SOJ for me, two important goals and great workrate, but his best moment for me was when Boekhurst missed the goal in the last with a dribble kick and was lying on the ground feeling sorry for himself, SOJ went and gave him a pat on the head, helped him up and the started directing him to where he needed to go and set up for the kick out. No hanging your head for SOJ just get on and do what has to be done for the team.
We are getting some good young leaders coming through the club.
Go Blues.

Bolts coaching by changing it up and starting each center bounce with an 8 man backline and the players ability to adjust to that so quickly and make it work. Leaders really stepped up to direct traffic out on the field. Got us back in to the match.
Usually sit on the wing but for some reason we decided to sit behind the goals this week and had a great view of it.

I dont want to shoot bambi but compared to last year, Weiters has been well below par. Dunno that he will be sent to the 2s to get some form but he probably needs it. As I said in the in game thread, that swingman rubbish can GAGF.

I don't think Weits has been the same since he hurt his shoulder last year in round 6 against essendon. I remember at the time he was interviewed and said he had never been injured before, which I can understand being a big kid in junior footy. I think the pain shocked him a bit and he has lost his confidence. Doesn't seem to be attacking the ball with abandon like he did when he first arrived especially with his marking. Hasn't helped that he has got a few more knocks since. Just need to give him time I reckon to get his confidence back and the club I'm sure will be supporting him with that. One good game where he clunks a few marks and dominates an opponent is all it will take to get him back on track IMO.

Love the kid so hope he gets the help he needs to turn it around.

'Fight' was the shoot for me this week. Twice we were headed by a fair margin and twice we came back to hit the lead. With a bit of luck going our way we could have won the game. Good team effort.

Walking away from most games this year thinking to myself, "We'll win a flag before that mob..." haven't done that for a while!

Honorable mention to ASOS for THAT tackle.
