Understanding our performances. Where we are at vs where should we be.

Okay guys, Im doing this a bit retrospectively, but I think this will tell a story of itself.

Each week we face a new opponent, giving away a fair amount of experience, conditioning, proven AFL capability, and if some people are to be believed, coaching ability too.

In the face of that, I have decided to retrospectively, look at how many games we were giving away in terms of AFL experience, and seasoned ability at the level.

We keep giving away a fair amount of experience each time we played, although with mcveigh in, the variance isnt as large, particularly because we played Lobbe with 100 games under his belt instead of Phillips.

We really should have won this game, and we led for most of it and is potentially the one that fills me with most of  my concerns regarding getting wins.

And we kick our highest score in years, to go with our first win for the year in a game where we clearly had a more experienced team on the park on average.

Another one that got away.  Its worth noting, that we lost this more because of the loss of cool calm experienced heads mid game.

No.  It doesnt excuse lack of effort.

Looking at this as a trend, it paints a picture.

If you give away a thousand games experience, your chances of losing increase exponentially as does your ability to compete.
