So the year is nearly done, what can we take out this season. Ignoring trades and could have beens, what are your thoughts of our 2017 season.
For me we've had some positives, but my biggest issue is a worry.
We've cooked Weitering, the kid looked good enough to be superstar, and I realise most players get the 2nd year blues, but we've cooked him. I'm not sure he can recover from what we've done to his confidence and game. He's gone from a Rising Star attacking intercept player to a stay at home and mind your opponent dogs body!
It looks like we've turned the the next Harry Taylor into a new Simon White!
It's hard enough to make it as an AFL player, without the club you play for working against you!
Not sure if this is possible, but I think it would be very useful if the CSC Home page had a small section somewhere near the header that let people publish links to our games that are being streamed, and another section for links to any known replays of recent games.
I think it would help attract people to this site if they knew we were a source of Carlton or NB game links.
Remember: [1] At least 3 players need to get a mention. [2] No more than 10 votes for any one player. [3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F. [4] Votes must add up to 15.
It's sad reading and listening to the rhetoric today about the recent battle of the prehistoric mammals. It seemed to me to be a sub-standard fight that was akin to two past-it bulls reliving the old days.
But even more disturbing for me is the result, the reason for the result, and the subsequent complaining.
A deliberate cheap shot taken early in the match, well outside the spirit of good sportsmanship, designed to level the playing field. Should not be rewarded with victory. It seems one of the three judges thought so, and despite Mundine finishing the match in better physical condition he should not have been rewarded for what I see as deliberate cheating.
Even sadder, old beaten around the ring boxers coming out and joining the chorus. They discount the bad behaviour and only care about the outcome.
Perhaps Mundine got the physical victory, but it does matter how you get a win! If that isn't the case the next person to fight him should feel free to take a shovel the ring and end him at the first bell!
Fans of the BBC show will be shattered to read Peter Capaldi is leaving his role as The Doctor.
However rumors abound Sir Ian Murray McKellen of Lord of the Rings, X-Men, The Da Vinci Code, Waiting for Godot, etc., etc., is considering a season or two as The Doctor!
