Apparently medical science is now more than ever before close to offering a male contraceptive pill.
But, I often wonder at the absolute bona fide of feminism and equality.
I appreciate in many areas it's both right and makes sense, but a male contraceptive doesn't seem to be one of them!
For a very simple reason, ............ Trust me baby, I'm on the pill!
Where is the bulk of the risk, the majority cost of a deception or error, with the male or the female?
Some things just shouldn't be, doing something because you technically can doesn't always make sense! I think they made a movie about this, .......... Gone in 60 Seconds!
I'm neither a fan nor opponent of unions, and I don't give a stuff about Setka and won't comment because I haven't followed this case at all out of disinterest. Guilty plea or not!
But politics and society I am keenly interested in, if you hadn't already gathered.
While I accept female might perceive herself as best situated to identify misogyny, I'm not sure that makes a female the best choice to sit in judgment, so is having a female magistrate in this case a conflict of interest?
Surely, it would have been prudent for the solo magistrate to step aside?
I don't see how this can be any different from politicians condemning a socialist judge in a case about democracy, an atheist sitting in judgment of a case about religion, or a pacifist judging events of war!
Maybe they are impartial, but how is that proven, and their word and track record is certainly not really good enough?
Carlton were dismayed that no one showed support for their former skipper Marc Murphy after his ribs were broken in an encounter with Giants' enforcer Shane Mumford in the first quarter of last Sunday's 93-point loss to Greater Western Sydney.
The Blues were 39 points down at the time but it was only skipper Patrick Cripps who made any attempt to remonstrate with Mumford as Murphy lay on the ground in pain.
Blues coach Brendon Bolton revealed that Cripps was particularly disappointed at the team's response at that point and said the moment was an opportunity for teammates to express their feelings.
"It is important to fly the flag when someone gets hurt," Bolton said.
It's interesting, all the outrage about this spelling error, but is it an accident?
I do know that in many security printing applications it's a very deliberate strategy to add controlled defects or mistakes to batches of currency or credit cards. They do it because counterfeiters will often remove those defects as part of the counterfeiting process in trying to make a perfect copy.
Interesting Starc is suing an IPL franchise for $1.5M in missed contractual payments due to injury.
I've been aware for some time that the biggest issue for IPL players is actually getting paid those lucrative contracts. It's the subcontinental way to avoid paying if you can, it's considered very good business, and if they get away not paying you it's your fault for providing them the opportunity!
Oddly, if you are a contract member of the BCCI test squad, as opposed to any other foreign player, I believe your IPL payments are guaranteed.
I'm not sure how that form of discrimination flies legally?
Not sure what Mo Hope does wrong, I thought I heard she played OK in a couple of AFLW/VFLW games since dropping all that weight but she got kiboshed again.
Rumors Tayla, Vescio, Davey, Harrington and the twins have all been approached. But under the AFLW rules this isn't a shock it's just normal, it's like they want to start and build this competition with maximum free agency. I think that's a bit tough on clubs if nothing else from a marketing and branding perspective, they should be able to secure the marquee players that they invest heavily in a little longer than just a season or two. But I suppose it's more complex give the girls are really only semi-professional status and want to do stuff like have babies. The idea they can be sportswomen as well as wives and mothers, something us old blokes need to get our head around!
Just on the CheatsTV pissweak reaction to those trolls pestering Tayla Harris.
Firstly, what a bunch of fecking morons CheatsTV really are, it just exposes the true attitude of the AFL and CheatsTV towards the AFLW, no wonder their station and organisation appears full of Dankettes and drug apologists. CheatsTV is a forking disgrace and should be excluded from all future broadcast rights negotiations. There is some true irony when their talent describes Sam Newman as a dinosaur, I hope Sam Lane has enough willpower to call them out on air!
Secondly, Carlton fans this is why I demand our club becomes less passive and more pro-active in the media. The loudest voices supporting Tayla should be Carlton fans and the Carlton Football Club. Our board members and executive should have stormed the media last night demanding respectful treatment. Carlton fans and the Carlton football club get around Tayla Harris and build the culture, if you don't it's just another sign you'll give up the line meekly and mildly.
Finally, what a freaking superstar Tayla is, what a role model for everyone.
The Storm must feel aggrieved at the lettuce leaf slaps offered to the Sydney clubs for extended and repeated salary cap violations, some clubs even including breaches while under prior suspension.
But really is it a sign that the NRL isn't doing so well fiscally, would an extra $350K send an NRL club broke?
It feels like more is going to come out of this, serious times for the small game, is it losing it's roots?
Some of you will be aware of the controversy regarding the proposed Apple Store to built in Melbourne's CBD. In a district that was previously allocated for arts, community and entertainment it seems a odd fit.
But if the city council is going to allow this area to become heavily commercialized, then why go half-arsed about it. I'd boot Apple and court Amazon to build a major secondary headquarters there instead! Jeff Bezos is a much better fit for the direction Australia wants to head in than Apple selling us yet another version of the same thing!
Leave the vacuous bling to Sydney and instead fill Melbourne with some substance!
Perfect timing to prove beyond doubt corruption persists, poor bastards can't even have Christmas without white-ants and parasites taking away their happiness!
OK, I realise I'm not worldly by music standards, but really?

Janet Jackson joins her brother Michael and the Jackson 5 as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, earning induction on Thursday along with Stevie Nicks and the top fan vote-getter, Def Leppard.
Radiohead, The Cure, Roxy Music and The Zombies also join.
Janet Jackson, is Kylie in there? (Yes, I'm being sarcastic!)
