Well, if you have ever seen a one sided supporter base, crowd, commentators, et al., it was the Ajla Tomljanović game versus Serena.

Time stops for nobody, great career from Serena.

The Sports Desk / Tour de France & TDF Femmes
Flicking channels I watched a bit of the TDF Femmes last night, it sort of exposes the elephant in the room when you discuss equal rights and prize money, etc., etc.. As much as I love to support the girls sport, the event and atmosphere was pretty ordinary compared to the men.

It's a bit sad, but I have to wonder if it wasn't law I wonder if it would even be broadcast, and I know it's just not fair, but that fact won't change what it is!

There on the avenue and almost nobody is watching!


It was like watching the stragglers at the Olympic Marathon after the party and crowd has already moved on with the winners. I have no idea how the organisers can fix that, why do they even need a separate event, can't the whole lot head off together each day on the main event?

I read an article at the weekend that talked about modified version of lasagne, not something I'd really thought about outside of the regular type, maybe eggplant or spinach versions. But this was more about even more alternative type fillings such as lasagnes using meat bases like Goulash, Chilli Con Carne, Stroganov, etc., etc., even some fish based versions. There was even a vegetarian lasagne with a gnocchi type filling.

Products of lockdowns perhaps?

Dad's Army the Handbaggers have turned CheatsFC from the AFL Media's flag boosting favourites into Fubar in just a 1/2 of football!

CheatsFC have gone from Cherry Ripe to Rotten to the Core in the blink of an eye! ;D

I'm half tempted to turn it on just to watch a puddle of dreams developing right before my eyes!

So nice to see Tomljanovic call out the cheating injuries, if only a few more players would do this!

Ajla Tomljanovic took exception to Jelena Ostapenko taking a suspicious medical timeout, venting to the umpire. "'You know she's lying"

The crowd knows it, the viewers know it, the fans know it, the players know it, the officials know it, the commentators know it, and nobody does a damn thing about this abhorrent tennis player behaviour!

What the feck is wrong with Euro sport, did anyone see that dive the player took at the soccer last week, he hit the deck like he'd broken a leg, was glancing around to see if anybody noticed and then when they didn't react he got up and sprinted away! What a piece of crap player and crap human he must be!

Have we heard anything official yet about dates for the next AFLW season?

I've heard some scuttlebutt it may be delayed to the 2nd half of 2022, that could play in our favour with a player like Mimi Hill.

When asked how she deals with media scrutiny, in light of the Naomi Osaka withdrawing form the French Open, this is how Venus Williams responded;

“For me personally how I deal with it was that I know every single person asking me a question can’t play as well as I can and never will,” she said.

“So no matter what you say or what you write, you’ll never light a candle to me.

“That’s how I deal with it. But each person deals with it differently.”

I hope our club and and all AFL players take note when being hounded by AFL Media like Flubbo, Caro, Barrett, Stevens, Nhial and / or various Social Media vloggers / bloggers!

Well, I've heard some rumors, but this one seems to be right up there in QAnon class.

The claim is that Indonesian sub was sank by China to draw regional surveillance craft away from regular duties.

Apparently China wants to move some of it's own subs into close proximity to eavesdrop on us or some neighbours, and have done so by drawing craft capable of detecting them away as part of the search. Surely not!

Ladies Lounge / AFLW - Relationships
I notice the AFLW media covering the number of relationships that seem to exist in AFLW circles.

If it hasn't already stitched up clubs, for example us with Bri Davey leaving, it's only a matter of time before it bites some club. I'm very surprised it's allowed, within a team it's basically a workplace relationship, and when they go bad they often burn down the house!

It also comes across a tad unprofessional.
