Good point. And we dominated possession when the game was online. Like EB says the last 2 wins were against weaker opposition but as we have seen this year if you’re not switched on, upsets occur so doing what was needed to get the 4 points is still acceptable imo. We thankfully no longer appear to be a bottom 4 team but as far as being a genuine top 8 chance this year the next fortnight will be telling.

Setterfield jogs around the contest and won’t attack the ball or player with the energy and intent.
Seen enough of both of them and really hope we give others a go. Kennedy, Cunningham and stocker should be given 5 or so games to compare and make decisions on all on this group come seasons end.
Cottrell shows the intent needed. May not have the look of a Dow or setterfield but he has heart and energy and that’s a trait you either have or you don’t.
Same for parks. That boy has ticker too.
Hate seeing kids that play like they are comfortable and setters, Dow and LOB do that.

Lucky if we got a fifth rounder for Dow. He has been in the system too long to be showing so little. He looks raw and not ready yet he has had a decent run of games. Ruthless teams would have already moved him on.
Pretty sure I am close to never wanting to see Setterfield play for us again. People who crap can Murph saying he doesn't like a contest should watch the 43 run around around.
100% spot on. Never once seen this bloke show any real desire or urgency. Rarely gets called out on his sub par efforts. if we are serious and really want to be a finals team and compete seriously with the top teams blokes like setterfield Dow and lob will not be on the list come seasons end.
Defence was solid. SPS was clean and used it well while most mids butchered it. Liked doc Jones and weiters game as well and plowman was solid. The midfield was awful apart from Ed and Walsh who battled hard. Time for setterfield and Dow to play 2s footy. Neither are AFL standard and we are not good enough to carry blokes thru the middle who don’t contribute and aren’t desperate enough. Prefer Cottrell at least he has a go. Hopefully Williams comes back in and I would like to see Kennedy or stocker for a run of games. Eddie is smart and we needed that tonight. Hard night to be a forward when the ball is butchered coming in.
Can’t play Dow and setterfield thru the midfield and expect to beat any AFL standard team. Too hard. Midfield is poor when Cripps doesn’t have a big game.
Setters is annoying me, Casbolt has stuffed up but has reverted to doing 1%’ers which is good, Harry should have kicked that ffs, Walsh is a warrior, Pittonet good, Samo good.

I was just told Marchbank has done a serious injury in the 2s. Apparently leg just collapsed in a marking contest. Word is an ACL or even possibly an Achilles. Feel sorry for him poor blokes body just take take it. I reckon this may be it and may not see him again.

Eddie was underdone and had 4 touches for the game. In the worst 4 on the ground for the Blues

Agree. Love Eddie but he is only going to be used when we have injuries. Shouldn’t get a game if fisher is available. In the meantime I would prefer to see Cunningham given a block of games.

Really like the look of this kid. Works hard both ways is tough and is a nice user for a kid. His showed more in the 3 games he has played for us then most of our kids some In their 5th season have. If only we could develop like the better teams. Would be in our flag window now I reckon if that was the case.
