The coaches votes are a bit weird this week - Cripps BOG with one coach, nothing from the other.  Maybe shows an even effort...

Levi          5+4
Pittonet    4+3
Cripps      5
Weiters    2+2
Eddie       3
Doc         1
Rohan     1

Chris Scott has history of snubbing star players of other clubs.
2012 HAPPENED!!!!!!!

Definitely a strange cat (no pun intended), he sometime speaks so well and makes a lot of sense, then in the same breath, he does the Jekyll and Hyde thing and is a complete moron.
2017-16th
2018-Wooden Spoon
2019-16th
2020-dare to dream? 11th is better than last I suppose
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time

Also he had the heat put on him on the footy show by Kane Cornes saying they didn't respect Cripps enough and ran with the wrong type of players on him too often in the centre and they paid the price for that lack of respect.

Scott apart from being a sook also hates to admit he got it wrong so leaving Cripps out of his votes is typical of how this bloke operates.

Cant stand him!!!

There is an alternative (i just did the same thing before i saw this)

Doc 1
Rohan 1
Betts 3
Casboult 5+4
They MUST be like that.

The rest is either as you said with cripps 5 + 0, or Weitering with 4 + 0.
Cripps 2+3
Pittonet 2+5
Weitering 4

So 1 coach snubbed either Cripps or Weitering.
I don't think anyone would say Cripps was BOG (so 2+3) meaning Weitering got snubbed.....most likely by Scott IMO. He'd blame his midfielders for poor delivery, rather than Weitering for stopping everything that came his way.

Some talk of Weitering being potential AA if his good form continues.

Will they have an AA this season?

Weitering is continuing his 2019 form and, while I think that he was stiff to miss out last season (particularly with the added pressure of the loss of defenders through injury and the diabolical lack of defensive pressure from those up the ground), those that judge these awards tend to overlook players in navy blue.
“Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?”  Oddball

Plus they had a 3 goal breeze for 3 quarters.

Pittonet is currently an upgrade on Kreuzer.

And no question Jones, Doc, Betts & Martin are massive upgrades.

I've always thought we were 3 experienced mids away from a premiership threat. With Martin now performing it feels like 2.

Add Brad Crouch, Papley and Zac Williams this off-season and we'll be right in the Premiership window I think.
(It's going to take that sort of recruiting spree to get us there I reckon given Dow, etc. haven't really come on yet)

I'd add Wines to that group ahead of Williams....and look to  get the other Crouch the year after.

Feck the Crouch's.  We can do better than them.  I don't see the fascination.

Too slow.

Need the muscle IMO, only have Cripps with any decent size....can see why SOS wanted Tom Green from GWS.
re: Zac Williams....not sure we need another half back flanker? and if we do I prefer one who puts his head over the ball a bit more.

Can we do better than them?...Matt has been AA and been in the top 5 for possies in the comp and Brad had a very good season last year. Appreciate they have had a slow start to this season but have still been in the Crows better players....something rotten in Adelaide when Walker continues to get games and others are made scape goats for the clubs lack of form.
Put them both at new club with less off field problems and they would do very well IMO and we might get them cheaper given what happening with the Crows..
