I agree but you cant complain that players dont get dropped and needing to set standards and then bring in players undeserving of a game.
If i could choose any small player from the vfl on last week's form Darcy Hogg would be my first choice.
Agree but I reckon Moir needs a crack for two reasons. I think he has some X factor that not many on list have. I think he might blossom if he had an extended crack in the 1s. Given our injury woes and the season almost done and dusted, why not expose the kid to senior footy.
Moir hasn't done enough for a game based on what ive seen.
I wouldn't be dropping acres. Sends the wrong message and he busts a gut. He's also more versatile than most and is more likely to build into it and play at a level beyond most of our list.
We dont take our next opponent seriously and we'll pay for it.
Pittonet comes in for o'keefe as tdk will need the help dealing with Xerri.
Lewis young probably comes in by default if curnow doesn't come up. At least we can swing him forward and back, but id prefer lemmey came in, but not ahead of pittonet.
Hopefully just the one change, Francis Evans was one of our better players on the weekend and would be ahead of moir on form.
I will dead set vomit if Evans ever plays a senior game for us again.

I agree, Austin hasn't been too bad, fans are disappointed in the results but I'm not sure it's being driven by a list problem or list decisions.
Further when you cut fan favourites like Chugga you always tend to get a bit of residual stick.
Sometimes you need a type and that type just isn't available through draft or trade, so you have to make do.
Lets not get excited with Austins performance based on picking up Haynes. His list management has been disastrous in (a) addressing needs that he been evident for years and (b) placing our contracts and salary cap in a position to be in the market for elite players that can address our problems quickly (eg like Haw did with recruiting Barrass and Battle to immediately boltster their defence).
After an apparent shaky start, no issues with Haynes. Very reliable. Dunno about crediting Austin for that pick up.
Austin gets the blame if any additions to our list don't meet expectations so he has to get the credit for any that work out. Wright hadn't signed up when we took Haynes
Austin and his team have to be all over every free agent and out of contract player. They must have felt that Haynes met a need, and they were right.
I meant it would have been someone other than Austin in the team but I take your point and its fair enough.
All I'll say is that it's at times like this that I am glad we are 12,000km away. People in the region need to make snap decisions based on intel, these regions basically live on high alert. Fark that.
I think his contested marking is good but his disposal by foot is ordinary and we need more elite kicks coming out of defense imho.
His disposal efficiency is a tad under 79% ... and that includes a lot of rushed kicks under pressure. Jack Silvagni gets a lot of praise for his ball use but his disposal efficiency is just under 75%. Of all the defenders we've used this season, only Weitering is using the ball better than Haynes. So, yes, we do need an elite ball user.
After an apparent shaky start, no issues with Haynes. Very reliable. Dunno about crediting Austin for that pick up.
Lazy... we deliberately changed mode to a different style.
Not sure where the idea comes from that this is an effort or desire based situation.
Its a tactical shift to a slower mode of playing.
Not sure where the idea comes from that it's lazy or based on a desire. They are clearly trying to play a different method that is not as contested and there is no practice like match practice. Occasionally our opposition are forcing this to happen but that wasn't what happened yesterday.
Good teams dont need to change the way the play so much, we had the opportunity 2 weeks in a row to go on with it and we get too sucked into worrying about the opposition and what they have changed. To my eye, and clearly I wasnt at the ground, it looked like from about mid way through the second, players stopped running and creating space for themselves. The HB chains stopped and its like we went into conservation mode.
